Hi,
I flashed DD-WRT on my Asus RT-N13U router. It is working great!
But I am not able to connect VPN on my Office Laptop using wireless, works great with Wired Connection.
I contacted Asus Support and they wanted to update their firmware.
So could some one explain me the process to Restore Stock firmware back to this router.

I tried Asus Utility ? Firmware Restoration and but it didn't work.
Could someone help pls

Thanks

Login to the router, click administration, click firmware and select the Asus firmware from your hard drive and click submit. You will then be back to Asus firmware.

If you put DD-WRT on it thoughm why would you want to go back to Asus firmware? Something is probably not set up correctly in DD-WRT on your router. Easy Tutorial from DD-WRT site HERE [dd-wrt.com].

Thanks but When i submitted Asus firmware, at 86% upload it says Upgrade Failed.
Not able to revert back. I downloaded firmware from Asus website

Initially i was using the Asus Stock Firmware. It worked fine and i was unable to connect VPN on my office laptop wirelessly. But I was able to Connect thru Wired. So I flashed DD-WRT on the router but still has the same problem. My Office Laptop uses Cisco Secure Services Client. I tested it with my other routers Verizon 7501 / Dlink DI-524 and works in wireless without any issues. I also tested by Laptop by connecting with my other's friends network, who uses FIOS router and works without any issues.

Planning to get support from Asus on this and so wanted to flash back the original firmware.

Is it something i am missing? Is the Asus Firmware Restoration utility can be used?
I tried that too, but it too failed.

Be sure you are doing the restore while hard wire connected to the router, not via wireless.

Figure out why it's not working with DDWRT. There's really no reason it shouldn't be working. Try Tomato if DDWRT isn't working for you.

Is Tomato compatible with RT-N13U?

My bad, it looks like the N13 uses the Ralink chipset while the N12/N16/520gu use the broadcom one.

Have you tried different versions of DDWRT? Here are all recent builds, you could also back down to an older build.

Might take some testing, some of those betas have bugs. Good luck! Check their forums too!
