What do you think of people getting married without knowing each other?

My 23 year old cousin was living in Florida with my sister for a year. A few months ago, she met this guy who is 20 years old and started dating for about 2 months. She was also dating other guys at the same time. Anyway, he decided to move to Utah and that was that. But then about a month ago, she told my sister she was going to visit him for the weekend and would be back. However, she never came back! And apparently they got married in Vegas with her wearing just a yellow halter top as a dress and lycra stripper heels! We found this out through other people who spoke to her "husband." And we saw the wedding pics on facebook. But then she deleted all of us and we haven't heard from her since. What do you think of people who get married and don't know each other? They both have no jobs and drug problems.

I think indian people do it all the time.

Sounds like she want's to grow up to be a complete and total looser...oh wait

Seriously...she's on a path to self destruction...your only hope is that she gets there soon and that she hits hard enough to slap some sense into herself and get help/clean/divorced/employed/etc.

I would be ok with how they do it. Although from how my indian friend explains it, it's just an arranged dating service and you pick someone you like well enough.

That is so funny that you said that because my hubby and I were talking about how dysfunctional my entire family is, (not just this cousin). We summed it up like this, we are too classy for Springer but not classy enough for Oprah yet would do great for an entire month special on Dr. Phil
