Difference between LCD/LED Computer Monitor and Television
This may sound silly, but
Besides a television having a TV tuner, what really is the difference between a LCD or LED Computer Monitor and a TV?
I'm looking at some 22-24" LCD or LED-backlit TVs and they seem to work fine as monitors.
Thanks in advance!

Not a silly question at all. I've wondered myself. Obviously, TVs have tuners, and monitors are available in a wider range of resolutions, perhaps TV and monitors use different filtering schemes for the color reproduction and sharpness, etc.
TVs have more inputs, tuners and speakers. I think TV screens also emphasize brightness, color, viewing angles, and contrast ratios. Monitors emphasize high resolution. But there's no solid line between TVs and monitors.
As and example of the fuzzy line between the two, I have a Samsung 2333HD. Which Samsung sells as a "monitor". Since it's a "monitor", it has high resolution for its size (23" 1080p) and has DVI and VGA inputs. But it includes TV features, like a ATSC/QAM/NTSC tuner, HDMI inputs, speakers, optical audio out, etc.
Some monitors dont have HDCP so you won't be able to play DVD/BR. Like above person said resolution is something to note but at 22-24 inch it doesnt make much of a difference really.
Resolution might not make much of a difference on videos or games at that size, but as a computer display viewed upclose for spreadsheets/webpages/etc, the difference between 1366x768* and 1920x1080 is meaningful.
I was only considering TVs that were 1080p so I could get 1920 x 1080. I'm a technical writer so I need 2 full documents up as well as FrameMaker or Robohelp. I work on the big screen and have the online view on my laptop.
I got the 22" Vizio VIA Razor LED LCD 1080p HDTV M221NV at Sam's Club and while it's not being pushed as a monitor, it was displayed with them.
They also had a Samsung "Monitor with HDTV" tuner but I thought the internet apps with the Vizio would be a nice toy.
