PDF of e-mail I received from corporate regarding price adjustments -- seems like a done deal. To those claiming otherwise, put-up, or shut-up.

Here's [westinghousedigital.com] the official product page on Westinghouse's website.

As of 11/24/2010, Target has removed this TV from their online store.

11/23/10 Was told today that Target had received an email for the Corporate office informing all stores NOT to sell that tv until Friday. This [target.com] is the TV we're discussing.

Tracker [target.com] For this TV

Here's [westinghousedigital.com] the official product page on Westinghouse's website.

HERE's [target.com] the Target Price Adjustment Policy.

It would be a good idea to have a copy of this on hand when adjusting. There are Customer Service employees that are confusing pricematching policies with price adjustment policies.

STOP:: READ THIS:::
Yes, you can buy this TV before black Friday and get it Price Adjusted from Fri Nov 26th to Sat Nov 27th and receive the Black Friday Sale Price of 298$. Go to the customer service desk and ask them to look up the DPCI: 008-09-0740 if they have it in stock ask them to bring one up for you. Just bring your receipt into ANY Target during the sale dates to get your adjustment.
NOW: No matter WHAT your manager tells you (mine almost got into a fist fight with me) you can do this. I called corporate 4 different times and spoke to 4 different CS Agents The first 2 calls were to confirm the Price adjustment policy . and the second 2 were to make sure there are NO restocking Fees; on TV's opened or not(keep all packing material). make sure to keep your receipt!!!!!!!

11/23/10 Was told today that Target had received an email for the Corporate office informing all stores NOT to sell that tv until Friday. If any were on the floor they were instructed to remove them. I practically got in a fist fight cause they told me to come back today since they had no one to get it off the shelf last night... finally they agreed to sell it to me.... JFYT

Anything you can buy now you can get a price adjustment while the item is on sale on BF. Just take your receipt to Customer Service and they will adjust it. Bring a copy of Target's Price Adjustment policy with you just in case. You can find that HERE [target.com].

This can be done on the 2TB Western Digital drive. Probably can't be done on the 40" LCD because you can't buy it till the day of the BF sale. Hope that helps.

Technically this is true, but you are going to want to be absolutely certain you can do a price adjustment during the sale hours. Some retailers do not offer returns/refunds during certain hours on BF. Hours that often coincide with limited door buster times.

You are absolutely right - but that is when you are talking about a pricematch. you aren't price matching - you are price adjusting. And according to their policy it makes no mention of "timed events" or "not applicable on BF" or things like that. The only condition is that you must show up at Target during the sale. The worst that can happen is that you get your money back. I did this last year on the Westy 32" LCD and I bought 4 of them.

Good catch kewldude151, the TV wasn't in stores last week. Guess where I am going after work today?

The tv is not a doorbuster items. The doorbuster items appear in that red circle with the green "Doorbuster" label. So the tv is on sale for the 2 days or until supplies run out.

I am getting the tv today as well. Not sure I can keep it sealed until next week though. Anyone know how returns work if I cannot get the price adjustment? Do they accept returns on opened tvs? I checked the return policy and it states that some items are able to be returned opened. Also, it doesnt list restocking fees on tvs, so I am assuming there are no restocking fees.

I would call your local Target and just ask them straight up what their return policy is on TV's. The info may be on the back of a Target receipt as well. Just to be safe I would not open the TV till you got your adjustment but that's just me.

If the TV is unopened then I can't see why they would charge you any restocking fees.

One thing I forgot to mention earlier is that if you price adjusting on BF be aware of the limits placed on the item on BF. For instance, if you buy 3 TV's and the BF ads says "limit 1 per customer" then don't be surprised if you get a price adjustment on only one TV. There are ways around this though. If you are going to buy multiples then make sure you buy them separately so that each item is on it's own receipt. Then during BF just go to the Customer Service and get a price adjustment for one of them. go back through the line and go to another Customer Service employee and get the adjustment on another unit. Go to another Target entirely if possible and get another adjustment that way.

And if what kewldude151 says is true about the Westy 40" LCD being on sale for 2 days then that means you can go in at any time during the 2 days and get an adjustment!

Realize that you will forfeit getting your $10 GC (on a purchase over $100) on BF. Personally I can overlook that by not having to get in line before 4am.

I re-read your post and I now I see where you are coming from. Best Buy and Kohls are known to shut down their Customer Service desk so that you can't get an adjustment during BF. Target's Customer Service is open the minute the store opens. Plus you got 2 days to get the adjustment anyways.

.
I am just going based on what the ad says. The ad is a 2 day sale. The items marked "Doorbuster" and the gift card are Friday only until 10am. The only restriction on the tv is 1 per person.

I am going today to get one for the price adjustment. Now I can get there around 9 or so and no need to camp out for it.
