Might as well have one of these since OT seems more interesting than the usual bickering over live vs. psn.

Now, who wants to talk about how LEET they are? -_-V

thumbing up my thread because I can.

You are vietnamese? My parents were both born in Vietnam even though I'm Chinese. My fiancee is vietnamese and so are a lot of my friends even though I'm definitely a banana.
Would your parents say they are Vietchinese then? Like you are a Chinese-American?

Banana, that's a good one.

normal banana

yellow outside, white inside
I had an Indian friend who referred to himself as a coconut using the same logic.

So tonight is another " I'm going out with my friends from work" night for my fiance, only this time it is a friends birthday and they are all going downtown. She made it sound like a girls night out last week so i figured I would just stay home and catch up on some gaming. Then yesterday while getting dinner with some of them they asked if i was coming as well so i told them i thought it was just a girls night out thing, it looks like everybody is going. Again, i have no problem with her having her own set of friends that she does stuff with, i just don't like her staying out until four in the morning with certain friends that try and get her drunk and do stupid things. But like you guys said, whatever happens will happen, and i have no problem punching somebody in the face.

because seriously, guys are guys. they're gonna try and get with your girl. sometimes while you're standing right next to her. it's up to your girl whether or not she's gonna pull shady shit or not. I think it's pretty shady that she essentially let you think that you weren't invited. does she not like hanging out with you? i don't see why people can't be with their friends AND be with their supposed so-called best friend/lover/whatever at the same time.
no, im not going to punch my fiancee in the face, haha.

We hang out a lot, with my friends, her friends, and by ourselves, but we both like to have alone time. Its just that my alone time is playing golf with friends or playing video games, and her alone time is reading or going out for drinks with friends.

I think I am just being my usual paranoid self because in the four years that we have been together we have both been downtown with our respective friends and there havent been any problems despite the obvious temptations that present themselves.

edit: on a related note, who feels like playing read dead redemption tonight?

that's cool then. didn't mean to spark the flames of jealousy. it just seems weird to me in a way, because my gf and i have extremely similar tastes, so if she was like I'm gonna go out I would expect her to invite me to go. if she was like i'm gonna go out to this club with my friends and didn't invite me, i'd be like wtf, because i want to go most likely (unless it's like beyonce or some shit.. i can miss that). and vice versa i assume. when i'm like i'm gonna go to this party, i automatically invite her, because i assume she wants to go, not that she wants to go do something else with other people or do something by herself.

I'm trying to teach this concept to BQ. I have no clue how it came to be that every guy knows what's on every other guy's mind, and every girl thinks they're innocent or wants to give them the "benefit of the doubt."

But yeah truj.. you're totally right. I had a guy come up to me when I was dating an ex.. ask me if I was dating her, and even after I said yeah, he was on her the second I went to the bathroom.

You really can't get more blatant than that.

It's not that I don't get the concept, it's that I choose to believe otherwise...Tongue

Much in the same way that religion works...laugh out loud
