I know this isn't exactly a hot deal but it is for those of us who thought we missed out on our BF hot deal.

Here is the post from Fry's facebook page:

Fry's Electronics During its Black Friday sales event, Frys.com experienced an unexpected system error that allowed a few of the items that were of a limited quantity to be ordered on "back order" status when they should have been listed as "not available" b...ecause they had been sold out. After the error was discovered, all affected customers were contacted and informed of the error and the fact that Fry's would be unable to fulfill that portion of the order. Customers were also informed that only an authorization was obtained from their credit/debit card, and that they had not been charged for the affected item.

Since the time this error occurred, Fry's has been working diligently with its vendor partners to obtain additional inventory of the affected items. Fry's is pleased to inform its valued customers that it has been able to reserve additional inventory and will fulfill the orders of all customers who obtained these items on "back order" status at the same prices in effect at the time of placing the order. Because it is extremely important to Fry's to maintain the trust and loyalty of its customers, we have taken these steps to honor all acknowledged back orders placed during the sales event even though the prices
were extremely aggressive and even though the orders far exceeded the limited special buy quantities from our vendors that we had planned to make available to our customers on Black Friday. Fry's once again sincerely apologizes to its valued customers for any inconvenience or distress this may have caused. We are working hard every day to improve our systems and to provide the excellent customer service our customers deserve.

Fry's is contacting all customers who placed orders for the affected products and providing them with instructions on how to complete their back order.

I just called the 408-673-3109 number and reinstated my logitech 1100 order and they are not sure whats going on and how they are going to fix it at the moment but she added me to a list to be able to get one.

I asked - I have a friend that also ordered one - does he need to call or will they just send emails out and she said he MUST call or he will not be getting one because they will not know hes still interested in receiving it.

^ You are wrong. Confirmed by nearly two dozen people. You think you were added to a magical list? Think about it...
^ 12/3/2010 8:19PM PST - I just called the 408-673-3109 and was told the same thing. That I would be placed on a list and that the Logitech Harmony 1100 orders will be honored in about 11 weeks. They are also going to extend the rebate period so the rebate will be honored as well. I asked if they will be sending an email to confirm this information, and he said one will be sent within the next couple of days. I will keep you posted. - jok5tr

The lady who I just talked to said Fry's is currently working with Logitech to secure more inventory. There is no point in calling in. Fry's will be contacting EVERY customer who purchased a Logitech Remote (900 and 1100) as soon as they have an idea of how much inventory they're going to receive from Logitech, and when.

Bah! I called in since I got the Harmony 1100 cancellation email and the CSR told me that they are currently honoring another product at the moment...and that for the remote we should be getting an email in the next few days. I referenced the website mentioning it and she acknowledged it.

i have just spoke with Fry's rep about the logitech 1100 remote. they are saying they still don't know if they can or can not honor the Logitech 1100 remote deal yet. they are still trying to find out from the supplier if they have enough to fulfil the order. she should me that I should wait for a few days, and see what happens.

Regarding the HP laptops:
customer rep informed me that they haven't received new stock of the laptops yet, so not able to create/reinstate new orders at this time, but will send emails to everyone affected when the new shipment of HP laptops arrive.[/COLOR]

I hope this include the Logitech Harmoney 1100 with $80 rebate. I received that unable to fulfill e-mail from Frys.

I was going over my order history with Fry's, and noticed that out of the 15 orders I have placed over the years, 6 were cancelled.
