They're hoping it makes you feel "important and valued" and then hopefully you will complete the free survey, too. Did they preface it by calling it an "exciting opportunity"? I always love it when they say that, like I'm supposed to feel special and part of a very select few.



Of course if they sent the email and it said,:

"Dear JSinger,
Today we have a 45 minute survey to offer you that might take two hours and it doesn't pay you anything. That's right...absolutely diddly squat. Since you're obviously a nincompoop who's pathetic life consists of sitting home in your stanky drawers, eating pickle sammitches and smelling your own farts, we knew you would be thrilled with this opportunity!"

Would so many fall for it then?

did anyone else get the 600 point focus group with an additional 150 points for photos? i dnq cause i'm west coast but sounded delicious!

Finished a rare 100 point survey from them last night to get over the 1000 point mark (1075 to be exact). Every time I cash out I debate whether it is worth trying again, but I usually do and then get pissed about 800 points into the effort.

Thanks and reps to OP for starting this board for GTM, although the company itself I am up in the air about.

Thank you : ) I had the same thing, 100 to put me over the top and then the pleasant surprise of another 100 pt one to kickstart the new cycle. I actually like them with the exception of the freebie surveys. I still get a pretty decent number of good ones. It took me 45 days to get to 1000 and I get cashed on the 24th and am 300+ as of today. They do crack me up with the feast or famine thing. I won't get any invites for 3 of four days and then I get 5 or 6 in a day.

There is one they sent me a couple weeks ago for 60 that froze, they send it again as 60 an it froze again, they sent it a third time at 60 and I just got annoyed with the emotional etch-a-sketch survey and closed it, so they resent it at 80... I started into it again, but got even more annoyed with the survey style and closed still again. Now I have a "reminder" to come finish it. I'll see if they take it to 100 : )

See, I used to cash out almost every 30 days during the "survey peak" awhile back, but nowadays they keep offering me either free surveys or "slap in the face" 35 point surveys for 30 minutes (I get A LOT of those). I'm only at 600 points and I got the first 260 of those way back after the FIFA deal.

LOL - One of the things that I like about Global is that most of their studies take less time than they state... I just finished one they said it was a 30 minute study but turned out to be about 15, I get alot of 35 point surveys and maybe it's just me but they seem to have less annoying ones (except for video game ones - I HATE video game surveys) so I don't mind. It's the rank these 6 different products on a scale of one to ten in 45 different categories that SS gives me for 2.00 that make me want to scream.

Wow, spent like 15 minutes on Survey 182552, only to be told "Bummer! This Survey is now closed"

I keep DNQ on many of the ones I fill out for them, some after it seems I've answered the whole thing. Pretty frustrating to keep wasting time on small point and free ones just to get tossed out, or spend forever on a free one that should of had some points.
At least so far every time I finally manage to rack up enough points to make it worthwhile I've gotten my check like promised after some time.
Like mentioned it now seems to take forever to build up any points with all the free and small amount ones they do. I always seem to get tossed on the few big point ones

I got that 60 pointer also and like you I had problems with it 2 times then the 3rd time worked, but boy was that annoying - that etch a sketch thingy - like 6 times for 6 categories - I was watching a movie and just doodled - it was ridiculous - what was that supposed to show? Stupid survey and at the end it errored and I didn't get my points. Emailed them and a couple days later got a response that my survey showed as completed and they credited me the points. At least I got my points but hated that survey format. Was able to cash out with that and am starting over again.
