XBL BLOPS Tourny: Map Restriction

Adding medium was a good choice I think. Some people like up close and personal. Other run and gun or fight from a distance. That should cater more to everyone I think. Everyone loves Nuketown, but I'll take a peek at the maps and see what my other votes will be later. Thanks!

Seems fair. To me, all the maps seems pretty small compared to MW2. Please no Hanoi, hate that map!

I'm curious as to what kind of reaction I'd get if I just made a call regarding gametypes to be played.

Would people freak out on me if I made an executive decision and said TDM & HQ (pure, regular, barebones) ONLY?

I'm curious as to thrthe reaction I'd get as I'd like to avoid some polls.

Does anyone have an idea of what maps they consider small/medium/large?

The two "large" maps that I think should be kept out are cracked and array(not sure if that is the huge snow level or the smaller one?)

I vote for small and medium.

As for game types: that's what I would have voted for anyways. I say skip the poll....but thats just me.

Small & med sounds good to me.

I'm pretty open on game type. I've only played a couple different ones besides TDM a few times.

Not sure if it's correct but what I found

Small: Firing Range, Nuketown
Medium: Crisis, Grid, Hanoi, Havana, Launch, Radiation, Summit, Villa
Large: Array, Cracked, Jungle, WMD

I would assume that Team Deathmatch would be the staple for what we are doing anyway. I hardly ever play HQ, but I'd be willing to do some of that. But for purity of the tourney purposes, those seems like apples vs. oranges to me and not sure if they should be in the same brackets? Just a thought...

yeah the other thing I'm considering is ONLY TDM (all modes).

Either of the small maps are cool, or I would probably vote for Summit or Crisis for my medium choices. I do like Launch and Hanoi...but I also like a mixture of environments on maps too....hence Summit and Crisis. Just my 2 cents for the penny it's worth!

just fyi to all.....when I say "small and medium maps only" this means every single map is available so long as it's considered small or medium.

Teams get to choose which map they want to play on before the round starts.

So let's say Team 1 and Team 5 are pitted against each other and Team 5 won the virtual coin toss. Team 5 has the option to either choose gametype OR Map first. If team 5 chooses a Map, then Team 1 is allowed to pick the gametype.

In the next round you alternate. Team 1 would get to choose either gametype or map first. Hope this makes sense.
