Deal Details

After seeing several of my friends get these electronic cigarettes, and hearing their positive reviews, I decided to get them for my boyfriend for Christmas. I found a 50% off coupon online that worked for me.

http://www.blucigs.com/
Discount code: GIFT

Regular Starter Pack: $59.95
Cost with discount: $29.98
FREE Shipping!

Starter Pack includes:
1 pack, holds 5 cartridges and charges your batteries on the go!
1 electronic cigarette battery & and 1 spare battery
1 atomizer & 1 spare atomizer
1 wall charger & 1 USB charger
25 FREE cartridges in the strength of your choice (equals over 150 cigarettes!)
30 day money back guarantee and one year warranty.
FREE SHIPPING | 30 DAY MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE | ONE YEAR WARRANTY

Each cigarette cartridge is the equivalent of about 7 regular cigarettes, with none of the tar or additives. No second-hand smoke or smell. Different levels of nicotine strength (full flavor to ultra-light) can be used to taper off and quit the habit. Smokers say it "feels like smoking." My friends preferred the regular tobacco flavor, but the starter kit comes with a sample of flavors. The only complaint was the bright blue light on both the cigarette tip and the box. Note that these cigarettes have not been FDA approved.

I'm kinda of ignorant when it comes to this whole e cigarette thing. Anyone ever tried these ? I never heard of this brand myself. I'm a smoker and I been wanting to try this for a while but have been put off cause it all seems confusing to me.

I'd like to try one but don't want to spend a ton of money to try it out.

blu e-cigs is the Packard Bell of e-cigs. Lots of people try them for starters when they first hear of electronic cigarettes, then they later upgrade to something that works better.

Do yourself a favor before buying a Blu-take a venture over to e-cigarette-forum.com. There you will find tons of information, as well as much better buying options. Besides, for what the Blu kit comes with, that is not a good price.

I have been "vaping" for almost 2 years now. You will get a throat hit, you will or can ( you can go with zero nicotine if you like ) get your nic fix, it will be much cheaper. Never tried Blu myself but for 30 bucks it is a good deal and honestly almost all the kits are from the same suppliers in China. If you have any specific questions you can PM me. Typically you will buy a kit then you can buy juices to refill the carts. The kits are the most expensive ( aside from mods but that is another story ) but I smoked a pack to a pack and a half a day and currently spend about 30 a month on my vaping. I vape alot though.

e-cigarettes are inhaled and exhaled the same way as normal cigarettes.
The smoke from e-cigs is actually vapor, and does not blow/dissolve the same way real smoke does. So in a windy situation, the vapor might blow right back in your face.I'm in the relations department at my company, and I have to smoke if the situation arises. So I learned by practicing on e-cigarettes.

$30 is actually not a bad price for a starter's kit.
It is usually $25-$35 for a standard kit, or $50-$60 for a high powered vaporizer.
If you're only using e-cigs for looks or to practice, and don't need nicotine, you can buy a small bottle of VG ($4), and you can puff vapor for about a year.

thumbs up for promoting e-cigs

I bought the starter kit and was a bit disappointed they didn't ask whether I wanted menthol or not (I am a menthol smoker). I'm concerned I'm only going to get non-menthol cartridges (yuck!!). So, I threw in the menthol cartridge pack and the discount didn't apply to it. Then I purchased the starter kit alone, went back in and tried to purchase the menthol pack alone, the discount still wouldn't apply. Then I cleared my cookies and the same thing happened so I have to assume the 50% is only for the starter kit.

I'm sick of how much money I spend on cigarettes and am sick of getting bronchitis!! Smilie Thanks OP!!

i bought the blu cig couple months back, it's not bad for a starter, especially the kit the comes with it. it's really convenient, the cig box can charge your ecig up to 6 times. but it's not for me. i started with the njoy 510 ecig, that one provides a lot more vapor and it has a bunch more flavors rather than 5 that the blu cig comes with. what i'm doing now is using the blu cig battery and the njoy atomizer which produces more vapor (smoke). i used to smoke 2 packs a week, now i smoke this. it definitely helps, some people perfer less vapor, i dont.

hey marquella
they give you a variety pack, the pack includes 5 vanilla, 5cherry, 5java, 5menthol, and something else.

Hey, thanks for the info kcy!! Not sure about smoking anything vanilla but I'll give it a shot. I guess once I start on these, I'll figure out whether I want a different brand or more vapor or whatever?

I've been looking for a way to get into smoking, but I didn't want to pick up a bad habit by starting with cigarettes, so this seems perfect for me. Thanks OP!

you guys should read up over at http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/

I would not recommand blu-cig as a starter to help you quit, especially a heavy smoker. It's just not enough in term of flavor/smoke/throat hit IMO and sometimes deter people from trying another brand that are much much better.

there are many places that sells "herb" flavoring e-juices, however all the ones i've tried tasts like pine leaves. :/

you'll have to find/make liquid THC on your own.

Good advice here. I quit cigs almost 2 yrs ago with an e-cig after smoking almost 20 yrs. The forum is a great place for info. I've got about 6 different models - and I go back to the old school dse801. It's big and clunky, but very low maintenance. This is a decent price to try an e-cig and see if it's for you.
