OK, not sure what happened but now I get the same $1350 price - I guess me using an old link gave me the wrong (higher) price before. Or, I have no idea - the first time I clicked upon a page which had an assortment of different products being highlighted and this model was among the picture listed items and at the higher price. It wasn't until I clicked upon the specific "plasma tvs.." link at the bottom of a page did I get the better price. weird.

I had an account (not legit) and bought some stuff awhile ago. but now whenever I tried to log into my EPP acct, it said "We are currently unable to process any online orders at this time.
Store is closed for maintenance. " any idea??

I think it was stated earlier in the thread; the loophole was closed, so no, at least until someone figures out a new way, there is no way to get an EPP account now, unless you work for a company that offers it.

what type of company would offer this? and why?

Companies will offer this sort of thing as a little perk for employees. How it benefits companies like Panasonic who partner up with companies who offer up their employees as potential customers in this way, I'm not really sure.
