HTC HD7 data plan help with t-mobile
I'm new to data plans and smartphones, so I appreciate your help!I need some help with info about data plans for the HD7. I'm recieving a free HD7 (wooo hooo!) and currently don't have a data plan. I've been a customer of t-mobile for 8 years and have 5 phones on a family plan. We can upgrade our phones in May. I know I need a data plan for the phone, but don't necessarily want to put down $30/mo for the unlimited data that they're offering me online (I haven't called yet to see if they can do better on that). I've heard that the $15 200MB plan is not enough and is easy to go over the 200 MB. A $10 Hotspot data plan is also available to me online, would I be able to get just this? I don't know how much I would need a phone outside of a hotspot. Since I'm getting the phone outright, should I just call them up to see what sort of deals they'll give me on a data plan? Is there any other charges I should look out for? Should I tell them what sort of phone I'll be using or will they charge me more? Thanks so much for your help! |

To get to the retentions department, call Tmobile customer service and say CANCEL at the voice prompt, they will then transfer you to that the retentions department and then you can make your request. When you do call, make sure you have a dumbphone connected to your line so they don't know you are trying to use the cheap data plan with the HD7. If they can't still add the plan, you can either try calling back later and hope you get a more helpful CS rep or you can ask about the $20 Preferred Internet plan, which they should readily offer you since you've been a customer for 8 years. |
