Great trip for me to Vons today!

I bought 4 Reach toothbrushes 1.72 each, used 2/2 and 1/1 mfr coupons. But I did not get the 4 dollar cat. The machine was working because I did get the cat announcement and a bunch of other cats. I took my receipt and the cat announcement to customer service and they just gave me 4 dollars. They did NOT want to give me cat announcement back, but I insisted and they did relent! I am really bummed about not getting the cat, I wonder what happened. I want to do it again!LOL

I got the Scrubbing Bubbles One-step toilet cleaner that was free on my JFU. It was priced at 10.99.


I got a box of Apple-cinnamon chex for 49 cents after 1.00 mfr.q and buying 3 other assorted boxes of General Mills cereals that were priced 1.49 and I had 50 cent mfr.q's for.

Also got a free loaf of french bread with local high school card. I will be soooo sad at the end of August when this card expires. The new one does NOT have the free french bread on it anymore.

Haven't seen anyone mentioned Truvia sweetener deal yet.

Saw a blogger posted that she got a bonus $4 when buying 2 80ct. So I tried this morning. No Bonus here, just the supposed $8. Still a good deal though.

80ct $6.59X2=13.18 - 2X75c smartsource coupon =$11.68 get back $8, final price $1.84 each
or
40ct $3.99X2=7.98 - 2X75c smartsource coupon =$6.48 get back $4, final price $1.24 each

buying 80ct is definitely a better deal. HTH.

I can also confirm that the Barbie counts. So did a 2 pack Kids toothbrush that was also on sale for 1.8x.

Yes, I did the Barbie this time and it worked but the OP I was quoting stated that all toothbrushes have always worked and that is not accurate. The last time this promo came out, the Barbie toothbrush was only out for about 2 months and did not work for the catalina.

This time I have not seen any new kids toothbrushes so I doubt it will be an issue.

in other news, not sure if this is company wide but here they are doing dairy resets so I am finding 50% off stickers on Kraft one pound cheeses,
select varieties of Sargento shredded they will no longer carry and
2lb blocks of Tillamook cheese

Most of these have pretty good dates since they are just not going to carry any longer and they are not reduced due to close expiration date

Anyone test it out to see if those j4u coupons advertised on the front page of the flyer are store or MFR coupons?

I had a fun experiment with codes today @ SCO

Select salsa $1.49 w/in ad q -$1code = $.49!! This is the cheapest I have seen for salsa in a long time!
O Organics carrots = $.99 -$1code =FREE
O Organics bottled tea =$.99 -$1code = FREE, but with CRV
ON round top bread on sale this week for $1.99 -$1 code = $.99
ON creamy top yogurt = $.89 -$1 code = FREE

Also, produce eq of 20% is not per trip. I did two transactions today back to back and it worked perfectly.

If anyone else played around with codes, please share with us as to what works and what doesn't. Thanks!

3 Stouffers family meals $10 (3x $5 Friday, less $5/$15 FF) Couldn't find any current Stouffers coupons tho. But $3.33 still a good price for then.
3 Lloyds BBQ tubs, $5.97 and 1 Hormel Complete 49¢ after 4 $1 coupons
3 Motts "gummy" fruits $0 and 1 Cheerios. 49¢ after 3 60¢ and 1 50¢ converted to $1.. (those were the last 3 Motts on the shelf - hope they restock)

I had loaded j4u on the Eggo $0.50 off (limit 1).

I bought 2 Eggo this evening and instead of 50 cents, $1.00 j4u Store EQ came off. So, looks like multiples will come off.
I used a MQ $1 off 2 and it scanned without a beep.
Net $2.98 for two Eggo and $5.00 counted for the frozen deal

I had other frozen stuff in the transaction ... $5 off $15 came off at the end.

Nice info. I wish I had known that back when they had those eQs for the Planters PB and Barilla microwave pasta. I just tried the cinnamon Planters PB, and it's pretty good. But I can't see myself buying it since it's got a jacked up price and comes in a small jar. I don't think the odds are good of seeing another great deal like that coming around anytime soon.



Looks like they made a small change to the J4U coupon center. It now divides the eQs up under two categories, "items you buy" and "items you may like."
