Problems printing Bricks coupons? First posted here: This may fix your problem! Just follow the instructions in this thread to alter the url to suit your browser. If you want to rep alanisrox69 (Derek), he posts often in the CVS threads.

Problems scanning Q's at SCO? First posted here:

Credit for this goes to Skibum - On the SCO at Safeway if your coupon doesnt scan you can manually input the numbers using the enter PLU function. Basically its the option where you would enter produce.

A coupon database is available at www.Families.com once you've registered there. Good resource for checking availability & location of coupons for specific items you're interested in. (Thx to errickson for the info!) Another great one is available at www.coupontom.com [http]. And the nice thing here, you don't have to register!

This thread has good info on what coupons are available, what insert they were in and the date.

Also keep in mind the Entertainment Book typically has money saving coupons for Safeway listed quarterly. And, if your store doesn't object, these coupons sometimes do not beep based on dates.

Coupon use at Safeway
Safeway usually issues store specific coupons via various formats...newspaper ads, mailers & emails. You can sign up for emails on their website.

Their coupons tend to scan fine at any store within their brand, even if the stores are not in the same area. For example, Tom Thumb coupons work at Randall's, and vice versa.

Their coupons also tend to scan fine at any store within their brand, even if the coupon says it's good only at a certain store. The best example of these are the ones issued when a store is remodeling or for a grand opening.

Usually, their coupons scan fine when you are using two different types of their coupons on one product. For example, $1 off Tide from a newspaper ad and $2 off Tide from some other source. This only works when the two coupons are obviously different (check the codes). I am not sure if it would work if you were only buying one item and trying to use two store coupons. I've never had a reason to test that.

Their coupons can be used in conjunction with manufacturers coupons, even if that causes an overage, although they won't pay you to take products out of the store! laugh out loud

Some stores don't accept internet printable coupons, there is a corporate policy on what coupons they take, and some stores follow this policy to the nth degree. If you get to one of these stores, try the store down the street, it is probably much more coupon friendly.

Manufacturer coupons for free or bogo items tend to attempt to give you credit for the price of the item without the card discount, but they usually beep for the cashier to approve the coupon.

Self Checkout lanes (SCOs) are a great way to get out of the store quickly. You can use your coupons except all BOGO, FREE and coupons over $3.00 (may be $2) require cashier intervention. This can be a hassle if you have very many of these type of coupons. You will also have trouble if you're buying a clearanced product that has the % off tag that has to be scanned.

Stores in different areas have different promotional deals regarding the doubling and/or tripling of coupons. If you see someone commenting on it here, you need to check what your local store does.

And while coupons may scan fine, the cashier you're dealing with can make any of the above YMMV. Smilie

Has anyone found the Kashi Blackberry Hills or Berry Fruitfuls that are listed on the IP? Looked at my Safeway and couldn't find them. Could be because this Safeway is tiny.

My store didn't carry the soft n chewy Kashi anyway.
I think those Kashi coupons only have a print limit of 1 for some reason. I found one variety of soft n chewy at my Safeway, banana.

Mine carried the Blackberry Hills, not the Berry.

If you have both the $1.99 ea Cracker Barrel and the $1.00 off Cracker Barrel snack bars on your J4U, only one will ring up $.99. Tried to get a second snack bars and it rang up $1.99

Of course, if you print up $1.00/1 MQ's from www.crackerbarrelcheese.com, you can get additional ones (single chunk or snack bars) for $.99 also. woot
There was also a MQ for the CB in the single sheet coupon mailer they sent out last week.

Don't know if this is just a local thing, but I really do not like the way Safeway itemized my receipt today. They listed all the items I purchased at full price, followed by a list of the club card savings, then a list of J4U savings, then a list of coupons I used. It is really confusing, especially if you want to make sure they are taking everything off correctly and you have purchased a lot of stuff. Today was the first time my receipt printed like this...hopefully it is the last! Anyone else have this problem?

So far I've gotten 21 Jimmy Dean Delight. I would recommend buying the quesadilla than the breakfast bowl for spacing purpose.

I ended up with 10 of them... I would recommend buying the quesadilla over the breakfast bowl as well, but mostly because the breakfast bowls are not very good and seem really dry, while the quesadilla's are really actually quite tasty.

Good deals I wish I had read your post before heading out to safeway tonight. My receipt is all so confusing but I see that my 30% didn't come off from the two safeway breads I bought and I know it's too late to get it corrected at customer service Frown

My Safeway had Pillsbury's Valentines refrigerated cookie dough on clearance for .99...including the 30 oz Red Velvet tubes. They rung up at $1.00 off (3.49), but I went to customer service and they checked the tag and they gave me the .99 price & one free! They're in the oven now and smell great! I think there are some q's out there...I didn't have mine on me (shame, shame), but I think the q's could make for some free/cheap cookie dough!
