Problems printing Bricks coupons? First posted here: This may fix your problem! Just follow the instructions in this thread to alter the url to suit your browser. If you want to rep alanisrox69 (Derek), he posts often in the CVS threads.

Problems scanning Q's at SCO? First posted here:

Credit for this goes to Skibum - On the SCO at Safeway if your coupon doesnt scan you can manually input the numbers using the enter PLU function. Basically its the option where you would enter produce.

A coupon database is available at www.Families.com once you've registered there. Good resource for checking availability & location of coupons for specific items you're interested in. (Thx to errickson for the info!) Another great one is available at www.coupontom.com [http]. And the nice thing here, you don't have to register!

This thread has good info on what coupons are available, what insert they were in and the date.

Also keep in mind the Entertainment Book typically has money saving coupons for Safeway listed quarterly. And, if your store doesn't object, these coupons sometimes do not beep based on dates.

Coupon use at Safeway
Safeway usually issues store specific coupons via various formats...newspaper ads, mailers & emails. You can sign up for emails on their website.

Their coupons tend to scan fine at any store within their brand, even if the stores are not in the same area. For example, Tom Thumb coupons work at Randall's, and vice versa.

Their coupons also tend to scan fine at any store within their brand, even if the coupon says it's good only at a certain store. The best example of these are the ones issued when a store is remodeling or for a grand opening.

Usually, their coupons scan fine when you are using two different types of their coupons on one product. For example, $1 off Tide from a newspaper ad and $2 off Tide from some other source. This only works when the two coupons are obviously different (check the codes). I am not sure if it would work if you were only buying one item and trying to use two store coupons. I've never had a reason to test that.

Their coupons can be used in conjunction with manufacturers coupons, even if that causes an overage, although they won't pay you to take products out of the store! laugh out loud

Some stores don't accept internet printable coupons, there is a corporate policy on what coupons they take, and some stores follow this policy to the nth degree. If you get to one of these stores, try the store down the street, it is probably much more coupon friendly.

Manufacturer coupons for free or bogo items tend to attempt to give you credit for the price of the item without the card discount, but they usually beep for the cashier to approve the coupon.

Self Checkout lanes (SCOs) are a great way to get out of the store quickly. You can use your coupons except all BOGO, FREE and coupons over $3.00 (may be $2) require cashier intervention. This can be a hassle if you have very many of these type of coupons. You will also have trouble if you're buying a clearanced product that has the % off tag that has to be scanned.

Stores in different areas have different promotional deals regarding the doubling and/or tripling of coupons. If you see someone commenting on it here, you need to check what your local store does.

And while coupons may scan fine, the cashier you're dealing with can make any of the above YMMV. Smilie

can anyone tell me how the real california cheese coupon is tripled from $.35? how much is actually taken off? is it automatic? is it one per product/purchase?

I have the $1.99 j4u offer here and regular price is 3.49. so I only need to buy 3. I went several days ago and was able to get 3 8 oz. bags for $4

3 x 3.49 = 10.49-$2 lucerne promo - $4.50 j4u = $6

if I used 3 of the $.35 coupons, what should my total be?
My .35 coupons have all tripled, taking $1.05 off each cheese... I bought 4 blocks today with PP of $1.94
2.99 (shelf price) x 4= 11.96- 4.20 j4u PP= 7.76- (4) .35 coupons tripled (1.05 x 4= 4.20)= 3.56-2 Lucerne promo= 1.56 for 4 blocks of cheese... .39 each! Works for me!

and my card with 10% discount actually worked! .74 ea

Lucerne cheese: there's a .50/1 JFU Q on 6oz shred Parmesan.
didn't reduce my $10 threshold.
Have PP of 1.99 on shreds, 3.49 shelf price in this store. $2 came off after scanned 3rd pkg

Was wondering why only buzz about cheerios medley & not the 2 others listed in same adQ
there are $1/1 Qs for the Fiber 1. thought I might get O on my card with cereal 10% off. Bought one ea Medley & Fiber 1, used 2 x $1 IPs & paid 1.11 for both.
I got the weird itemized receipt. The "starting price" for Medley is 4.49, for Fiber 1 is 4.99. Had a .30 and .35 JFU discount come off & get added back on

DohI completely forgot I loaded a new 30% off bread, in addition to the one ending today. Wanted to test if it Stress
I found March TT & of course in the car. Remember a new .75/1 O organics romaine 3pk

i just got back from the store. this time i brought the actual club card with me, scanned it, and it worked fine. the J4U discounts came off.

i wonder if there's an issue with the phone number i have attached to the account. maybe someone else had already assigned my same phone number to their own safeway account and the system doesn't recognize my new account?

i wish the J4U sign-up page would give you an error msg if your phone number is already used in their system. for those of us who don't like carrying the actual card, we just want to type in our phone number and have the system recognize our own J4U deals.
You can call CS to get them to match the phone number you want to have matched to your card. I had to do that a couple of years ago. Good thing, too, because I don't even have a hard copy of my card any more. After that happened, I was able to use my phone number to have CS find my card number so I could keep that on hand! laugh out loud

FYI, i have this actual card for a few years. And if I swiped the card at check out, the customer name on the receipt would be Robert Wong which I have no idea who was that person. Good thing I am Asian, so it's not too strange when cashier looked at the receipt and thanked me as Mrs Wong.
Now, since j4u, I obtained another acct under my DH's cell # and everytime I used that # at check out, they thanked me as Mrs Fisher which I have no idea where that name came from either.

Sorry it's late, but socal doesnt get doubles or triples. Even only needing to buy 3 to get to $10 club price, this was only a "good" deal for me at $1/bag ($2/lb), nothing to go crazy over with no doublers here.

Super late report, but I used the Amy's in-ad q & it deducted 30% as well as the loaded 30% on my jfu Smilie

also, can confirm that ff is working tonight in the PNW on shelf pricing, but didn't print a cat, deducted $10 as a line item discount named "$10 off catalina". Works beautifully with 50% off clearanced products Smilie

Catalina machines print out those long skinny coupons the cashier gives your or you see in self checkout, usually above the shelf to the left of the register.
some CATs are from promotions that give you $ back
you can read about most of them here [couponnetwork.com]

some are regional or chain specific & we depend on each other to get that info

Got $1.53 personalized price on Smart Ones.bounce It has always worked on breakfasts in the past and they are part of the frozen promo.bounce

Also, got $5/20 Ranchers Reserve for the first time *ever*.

Now if only my area was still getting the $10 Cat wyb $75, but alas they changed it to useless gas rewards a while ago.

Even tho the ad clearly says "$10 off on your next order"? SW is nuts! Thank you so much for the report!

Does this mean though that if we did manage to get to $75 to get the $10 OYNO, the $10 off on frozen would reduce the total spent in the order? Hope that makes sense..
