Stick with official/authorized sources. Since the channels are owned by many companies, there is no single place to subscribe to watch all the channels.

The closest to getting all the channels legally is Dish Network. The newer receivers have slingbox integrated in case you want to watch streaming content Smilie

Only time will tell if all channels will be available through devices such as ROKU. It is a step in right direction. Content providers get paid per subscriber and buyers pay less insteading of getting ripped off by Dish Network etc.
channellive is actually legitimate ...you can see their logo on suntv, jayatv's websites!! Looks like they have partnered with indian channels to bring this to US and compete with Dish..I signed up a year ago and the first thing i asked them before signup was whats different between you and tons of other unauthorized websites!!! Their answer we are legitimate providers and others arent!!

EDIT: interesting that vijaytv is offered as part of Roku, because it is not part of any of channel live's packages today...

btw for those on the fence, if you are already a channel live subscriber, you could call and prepay 6 months and get the roku box for free i think..

Update: according to support that offer is only valid for set top boxes and not for ROKU Frown

channellive has very few channels & looks expencive.. Is there any service covers Zee hindi & Telugu channels.
Watchindia box is horrible
Yuptv doesnt have hindi at
Google TV doesnt support silver light so all of these sites are not working..
Looking for best option to see Indian channels in the TV (Don't tell me the Comcast/ Dish option paying $20 for only Zee TV for the past 10yrs)

Thanks. Is this a legit / reliable and safe website?
watchsuntv.com may not be legit but atleast there is no virus problem with this website, I am using this for more than 2 yrs.

the only problem is there is not customer service and they have only email support and they barely reply to the email.

if it works it works if not you are on your own until it comes back.. on the whole its not that bad and its virus free.

Guys did any one try this with Roku. Hows the video and audio quality compared to Dish network. I am thinking about changing to this. But i was disappointed with Channel lives quality with their set top box. My friend has it. Dish is 10 times better in quality. So i am paying 30 $ for (sun tv,ktv, jaya, jayamax, kalaignar) and 10 $ for basic american family pack(as i am required to have atleast something on english package). So dish is 40 $ vs Channel live 28 $ for the same channels. But quality is important to me. Someone who have both, please compare and let me know.

search Roku in the SD forum (besides channel live you can watch netflix, amazon VOD, Hulu etc). There was a deal recently where roku was being offered for $59.99 after $20 discount. Apparently channel live offers the roku box for free with 6 moths of pre-pay I believe.
Thanks a lot...will do that.

I got the Roku player the same day seeing this - but past the two minute preview, no beta nada.. Is this working with Roku for any of you? Per this page, its all paid: http://www.channellive.tv/Roku/

got it setup for channel live and yup TV. Yupp TV has several free beta channels. Once you add Channelivetv channel you have to goto settings and get an activation code and then goto channel lives website and enter that code. This then ties your Channel live account to your roku box. If you dont do that you can only see 2 min previews

PS: This seems to be just the beginning, tons of indian channels: Tamil, Telugu, malllu, kannada & Hindi are starting to come up, then we can ditch channel live coz the prices are very high...

Thanks OP for this amazing deal. I aslo got it setup on my new Roku. I would like to know few things here. It takes 10 - 15 secs to buffer and play (sometimes even more) through Wifi. What router do you guys use (Basic or Gaming or Video router, Wired or Wireless)? I am seriously thinking to use wired by using a splitter for my cable box and router.

I also want to know if Roku allows channel numbering. It is difficult for me to change channels.

Watchout Endhiran in Gemini TV on 14th.
