Amex PASS Card Bonus is back
Amex has some great special deals from time to time. Last fall they had a PASS card deal where you could buy up to 3 PASS cards for your "young adults" (one per kid) for $25. No monthly fee or activation fee. With your first reload of $25 or more you got a bonus $25 added to your card. Took me about a half hour to buy three cards and when they arrived, another 15 minutes to reload $25 on each. Got $75 bonus from Amex on my initial $150.
It looks like the same PASS card deal is back until March 31. Got a letter from them today. Go to americanexpress.com/PASSBONUS. (Don't know how to do the linky thing.) Enter promo code PASSBONUS.
Small print on the back says it is for named recipient of this mailing, so YMMV, but I was not a named recipient when I bought mine - just read about the deal and went to the website- and I should not be getting the offer anyway since a person can only manage 3 PASS cards for their "young adults". At worst you won't get the bonus, but you won't lose anything (except your time) since there are no fees.
Will add more details if anyone is interested.
