Notes:
These are all socket 1155 - you will need a new motherboard for these chips!
These are "mainstream" not "enthusiast" chips. From what I've gathered, its not much of an upgrade if you already have socket 1366 - more of a sidegrade. For everyone else, looks to be a big upgrade. That being said - look at the reviews above and see the i7 950 being outperformed in a bunch of tests. In fact, the 2600k is being compared to the 980x by some.
Enthusiast chips from Ivy Bridge should be released early 2012.
If you want to use more than 2 GPUs, you need a motherboard with an NF200 chip, which increases latency.

Edit: Added PDF file (thanks RANDALSW) as MC took down the advert

I love it! You sound like my Grandma, who is a CPA. When I was born, I was due on December 5th but apparently didn't like the idea of being a December baby. My grandma was livid that they wouldn't induce labor. Not because of health reasons... not because being nearly 10 months pregnant was hard on my mom... not because it was going to be awful for my mom to give birth to a 10+ pound baby...

She just wanted my parents to be able to claim me as a dependent. It didn't happen. I was born January 3rd. I'm surprised my grandma doesn't hate me... at least I think she doesn't.

When should we expect a price drop on the Clarksdale i3 and i5s? I'm building a system and trying to see how long to wait to pull the trigger.
