All-Inclusive Resorts: What to know before you Go!

My wife and i just got back from our postponed honeymoon on January 14th. We went to Sandals Negril which was our first "international" trip for the both of us. It was an awesome time we both had. I highly recommend booking through a travel agent. They will match any price you find but are also there if you have any questions, concerns or issues at anytime of your trip. The office we used out of NJ is apparently a top selling Sandals agency so they sometimes get their bookings free upgrades or will give you extra money for the red lane spa.

They say at sandals you don't tip and they don't accept them, well that is a bunch of BS. The entire week we were there no one was looking for a tip or waited for a tip for any other their services they preformed but i tipped alot of the staff we encountered. I am just talking about a couple dollars here and there, probably a total of 50-100 dollars for our 6 days. The staff would go out of their way and come up and talk with us, remember what we were drinking and even just bring us refills on the beach, or if we were sitting somewhere in the resort.

We were concerned that since Negril was 75 minutes away from the airport it would feel like forever after our plane trip. But honestly we felt it was like excursion as we drove the coastal line the entire way and got to see part of Jamaica. It was like a site seeing tour.
