I'd love recommending a Park Hopper for your group since it offers a great deal of flexibility for this many people; but the fact that it's a first time trip for so many of you and the ages of the kids, it's hard justifying that additional expense as others have pointed out that there's plenty to do to keep anyone busy for a whole day in every park.

The real problem that you'll face is if one set of adults wants to go to one park and another to a different park and yet everyone wants to meet up for dinner - you're dining options are then limited to Downtown Disney (crying shame, they've got fantastic food) or the restaurants in the hotels on-property (again, crying shame...)

Other personal opinions when you don't have a Park Hopper

Animal Kingdom is a half-day park, at best and is always the first to close - save this one for day 3 when the kids (and probably adults too) will certainly need a nap and can spend the afternoon/evening at the hotel pool or Downtown Disney.

Use Magic Hours to your advantage and remember that you can exit and re-enter the park as many times as you want on that particular day. For instance, Magic Kingdom is open until 12 or 1 AM on many nights in the summer and can be a ghost town after Wishes is over. Spend the day there, do dinner with the group, and then head back for the show and you can do nearly everything in the park at least one more time.

BUT!!!

Since it's a family event, you might want to contact Disney to see what options you might have for a group function (you're probably too small, but never hurts to ask). Disney loves having groups and makes special options available - from catered dining to private areas during the evening shows, they'll help a trip become even more memorable. I've done this before for 70 people, many of whom it was their first time, with ages ranging from 3 - 90 and it's a trip that everyone still talks about.

Does anyone know if a FL resident can buy 3-day "Wild For Disney" tickets for non-FL friends? I was thinking about getting a friend to take me, and paying for the three of us. $99x3 seems better than $230x2.

Sure he/she can buy them for you, no problem . . . but escaping prison could prove easier than Disney letting a non FL resident get inside with a FL resident ticket (outside of the non FL resident being a child without ID and the parents lying about what state they live in and there is a FL resident adult available to say that child lives with them).

Nope, every adult will be required to show ID. . . proving they are FL residents or not. If you don't have proper Florida ID you aren't getting in the park with a FL resident ticket.

Can anyone help with discount codes on disney resort properties in the Fall (but before the holiday season)? I would like to purchase a vacation package with the dining plan and tickets.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Just booked my first Disney World vacation as an adult, taking my 6 year old daughter! 5 days at the Polynesian in May! I will say it was a lot more fun being a kid and having my parents pay for this trip evey year.

LOL. Even better if your employer paid for it. Several years ago my company sent me to week long business conferences at WDW 3 years in a row and they let me stay at the Beach and Yacht club. Looking at the cost of hotel rooms at Beach/Yacht club I dont' think I can afford to stay there on my own.

They just released today the much-awaited Free Dining deal for the fall

Valid for stays select nights 8/25/12 – 9/29/12.

We've done this before, staying at the moderate resorts - it's a pretty sweet deal.
