Hi all,
Sorry for the noob question, but how long do i have to wait to do this rebate again? I checked my email on the abcpromtions canon email lookup site and it said the last time i did this rebate was in 2010. Do you think I can do rebate again for 2012? Thanks Leo |

I did purchase t4i and the printer from B&H Photo. Submitted everything the very next day. Upon checking the rebate status it shows today for the first time with the dreaded "Program Violation" annotation. Will be calling tomorrow AM to check what's happening: I did double and triple checked my submission and all necessary docs were included, including big cut outs from both boxes. Will update with information as soon as I know more.
UPDATE: Supposedly, I forgot to send the actual UPC code from the box. It's the third, lowest bar code on the outside of the box. The top two (where, among others, the body's S/N is embedded) are not enough. Will have to wait for the 'Rebate Rejection Letter" and re-send the missing UPC code for the rebate to be re-processed. UPDATE#2: After re-sending the missing UPC code, they re-processed the rebate and the status changed to "Audit Completed" on 9/27 UPDATE#3: Received rebate card on 10/22. UPDATE: Just received the letter from Canon about missing UPC code. I am sending the code today and hope that they won't make any fuss about re-processing the claim. Last edited by Szyszka; 09-11-2012 at 12:51 PM.. |

I see people on CL selling Canons with peeled instead of cut UPC. I guess they will be out $400 because they did not read or understand the instructions or they will have to track down the buyer and hope that the buyer will co-operate with the manual pages.
THIS SPACE IS FOR RENT. SEND PM FOR TERMS AND RATES.

Hi all, I have to send the canon $400 printer rebate, but the mistake is I didn't cut the UPC, I have just peeled it from printer. And the printer was sold on ebay. I have only until 01/31 to send the rebate. So what are my options.
Option 1: Send what I got, peeled UPC from printer and cut barcode from camera. If they ask, try to tell that I have sent full, bla bla... Option 2: Cut some brown card board and attach the peeled UPC label with crazy glue. Send and take chances? Did any of you used any of the above and got approved or denied finally? Please suggest me, dont want to loose $400 now. Any suggestions, really appreciated. Please respond asap. Thanks!! |
