I've sent in my rebate in late december via USPS Delivery confirmation, but it doesn't show up on their rebate website. Have placed a call into Canon customer service earlier today and they're going to get back within 48 hrs with details. Have sold the printer, so hopefully am not asked to send a copy of the manual etc. Have copies of all other rebate material though.
Funny thing is - I bought the T1i and the printer back in 2009 on the same deal, and the same thing happened. Sent in my rebate, did not show up on their website. I called, they asked me to re-send everything, which I did. 2-3 weeks later, I get two checks for $400, one for the original rebate and one for the re-submit. My conscience did not let me cash both, so I called them up asking to cancel the latter one and I tore it up. Ironic thing was - both checks were stamped with a big "audited by blah blah auditors". Canon needs to fire their auditors

I got the same problem back in Dec, spent a lot of time to get the printer user manual cover...
I should have found this thread earlier, then I can share you guys the user manual cover. It seems that canon is really short of money, they mailed out the rebate within one month in the past. But I still have not got my rebate yet after more than one and a half month this time. |

I don't think that matters. THis is my 5th canon Pixma pro rebate and 3rd rebate period (yes previously they allowed 3 per address). Each rebate was processed with 20-25 days - normal USPS. This time around it took longer - probably because of this peely mess. Mine was approved without incident but nonetheless it took longer than usual. |

Having the same problem
I too am at about my wits end with Canon and this rebate program. Went thorough the entire process of cutting (not peeling) the UPC's out of the boxes, sent certified mail on 12/1 (that's right DECEMBER 1).Finally get a violation response and when I inquire about it apparently the same thing everyone else has experienced. You peeled not cut, etc etc. I took pictures and copies of everything that I sent... Well they fixed the problem (after I faxed the first page of the manual to them). It then went to payment approved status, and then went to payment mailed status indicating that it was mailed on January 14. Fast forward, as of today I have still not received the check logged in again to find out that the status reverted from payment mailed to payment approved. Back on the phone with Canon, really pissed at this point. They are now going to escalate and find out what the issue is. Apparently you are not able to call their rebate "liasons" directly... I really don't care what the problem is I just want my money at this point! I even told them they shouldn't mess around with people and a $400 rebate! Maybe if it was $50 but come on $400! People will keep calling until they get their money. So after a long and pointless story, has anyone actually RECEIVED the rebate yet? Not they are going to send it, its mailed, etc. Physically received it. Canon really lost my confidence at this point after their terrible handling of this. |
