I just thought I'd let you all know that Home Depot has put several Honeywell air purifier models on final clearance. Most are being replaced by new models, but have almost identical functionality.

I purchased the 17000 and the 50250 for over $120 and $160 from Amazon last fall and love them both. Wouldn't mind putting several more throughout the house. They work great.

If you go to Home Depot B&M, make sure to bring along the Home Depot SKUs. If they still show up in the system with a quantity greater than 1 (floor model), they should be there.

I found an entire pallet with all of these different models on it. It also wasn't in the right section, just some random one in the back of the store near plumbing.

So keep your eyes open!

It's not possible to check stock online. Your best bet is either to go into the store and have them run the HD SKU/UPC, or call them and have them run it. They can check their own inventory and the other stores in the area for you. Focus on any stores with 2+. Stores with 1 in stock will most likely be floor models that are super dusty or scratched.

I wish you could check online, but unfortunately you need to have their in-store program (MyApron), and log-in credentials to run a stock check.

And I believe this clearance is Nationwide. Several people have reported getting the 50250 for $42.03 in the old thread, so that seems to be the price everywhere.

For a small bedroom, I would get either the Enviracaire 17000 Model or the HFD-120-Q. Both of those are designed to cover rooms about 170-200 in sq ft.

The 50250 is for larger rooms (upto 390 sq ft). The best model in my opinion is the 50250, but it will also probably be the hardest to find.

It has a CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) of 250 for several different allergens. The other models have CADR ratings of about 100-130 on most allergens.

He's right...never call the store when it comes to clearance items. If someone is too lazy to get off their fat arse and drive down to the store, then they shouldn't even bother with these deals. It has been noted NUMEROUS times in the past where employees have been tipped off by people calling in and the employee ends up purchasing it for themselves (most likely for resale on CL or ebay).

So please don't tell people to "get over it" or encourage laziness from other SD'ers. You want the deal, get off your arse and go get it.

I believe I've found the solution to obesity in America. Hemispherectomy....no one uses it anyway.
