However... If it's a 32 Bit system, It can typically support upto 4 GB of RAM. If it's a 64 Bit system, It can typically support 8 GB of RAM or more. |

I got mine on Monday and memtest86+ found a whole bunch of errors on one of the sticks. Does anybody know how well PNY's warranty works? Do I need to pay shipping out of my pocket for them to replace the bad stick? I will call them to see what can be done. Otherwise I'll just get a replacement with newegg and hope that I will get good ones, and that it wont affect the rebate process.

PNY 8gb (4gbx2) is now a limited time shell shocker price of 74.99 limit three per customer making a none coupon rebate price of 54.99. Wow....with coupon if it still works could make this crazy. I'm on my phone so I haven't run the numbers....
Edit: no stacking allowed. Original is still a better deal for 52 and change. Got intrigued for nothing I guess lol Last edited by themps; 02-08-2011 at 12:07 PM.. |

Reviving this thread just to see how many folks are having problems with their computers they upgraded. -Turns out a number of buyers have had the same bad experience and posted feedback on Newegg. PNY does offer a lifetime warranty, but you'll be without your RAM for around 3 weeks, and may end up getting faulty RAM anyway.
We'll see what happens when I get mine back. |
