I cancelled a SkyMiles card last year, is this for previous users also?

I followed the steps and got the 50K deal. Signed up for the CC and was approved instantly, now wait for the first 25K miles to show up on my account. I am sure I will spend more than 1K in the first month so I hope to the get the other 25K soon too. Thanks OP Rep.

Approved! It took me a while to get it to load. Just keep clearing your browser history and trying again. I think it took me about 6 times. Cheers!

Hmm no you get the miles and have to go through the delta marketplace to get gcs... as a DELTA AMEX GOLD member you get the 11k miles for a 100$ amex gc rate... other merchants will do 10,500 miles for 100$ worth of their stuff.. check out the delta marketplace..

what i would recommend is you sign up for skymiles now.. call up the csr with your application id and add it to the account and verify the promotion... then gl on getting approved.

Many thanks OP. I've been eying this card for a while since I'm on the road about 40-50% of the time, and Delta is pretty much the only way to go if you live in Atlanta. I followed the steps you outlined, using the InPrivate mode on IE9 Beta, and after about 5 refreshes got the 50K offer. Instantly approved, and I'm a happy camper.

Where are you getting these figures? I log in and only see 19K for a $50 card and 36K for a $100 card. Am I missing something here?

Edit: I don't think it views me as a Gold card member yet since this just took place. I wonder if after I receive my card I will need to link them or something?

Yes that's the normal rate.. when you are a GOLD DELTA AMEX you get the 11k/100 10500/100 rates. Obviously the rates can change esp the merchant ones but the AMEX gc one should be stable.

Awesome! You do have to keep trying but I eventually got through on the 4th time. funny thing is I received an email from Delta with the 30,000 offer so we'll see if they try to downgrade me. I took screencaps of the 50,000 offer just in case.

I got the systems are not responding message, I tried the 'press back' and re-submit about 20 times to no avail, so I started the whole process over in a new Google Chrome 'incognito' window. First try worked, 30k with instant approval.

So if you keep getting the not responding message try the whole process over.
