$50 Google Voice Device for Free U.S./Can. Calling

I started getting busy signals for every outgoing call today. I didn't make any changes or anything. Also, incoming calls allow only 1 ring and I can't answer phone even when I call myself to test. Any suggestions? I couldn't find an answer elsewhere. Thanks

I am having the same problem. Things were working fine for about a month, now all of the sudden today, can't make outbound calls and inbound calls only ring once.

pardon my ignorance towards voip and this product but in May im going to CHINA for 3 mts.Since this product relies on ethernet, as long as i set it up correctly, i can receive free incoming calls from google voice on it right? even if im running on China's fiberoptic internet

so what do people think about google charging for google voice?

so i ported the number over to att today.. i dont know if i would suggest it.

here's the process:

- get your account info, and pin number (if you have one for the landline). call AT&T and ask them to port you over to att prepaid.
- you have to pay $5.95+tax for a new sim.
- when you receive the sim, put it into an att or gsm phone... then call the operator (dial 611)
- depending on your port release day, you may have to wait. if the phone is ready to be ported, then the port should go through smoothly.
- you now have to buy $15 (lowest) worth of minutes, which will last you a month at the rate of $.10 per minute.
- log in to your google voice account and apply for a port. it costs $20 to port the number over.

Google Chat's calling feature doesn't work outside of the US. However, some methods to get around that have been discussed in this thread.

I used Google Chat calling from New Zealand for 3 months with no additional setup. I think it really depends, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't - not sure how to make sure it will work though.
