Just bought a card and did this because you posted-- got a fat 60 min and ZERO bonus minutes on the deal. Useless. Hope others won't do it. I don't have a double minute phone or anything, and I did a similar deal a year or so ago or I wouldn't have been suckered.

Sorry for your loss Frown

There's a bonus code tester out there that you should use b4 trying again. Google "tracfone codes" will bring you here:

Sorry for your bad luck, but you've had Tracfone for over a year and don't have DMFL?? Makes no sense.

I use about 15 minutes per month when not travelling, and live in a CDMA only area. Limited deals.

You could buy a cheap voip phone (like this [ebay.com]) and use Skype, which is free. You obviously don't need the mobility of a cell phone, and you have an internet connection. .

With your usage, the Tracfone activation time is more costly than the minutes. Unless you've figured out some way to make the numbers work to your advantage, I see you paying way too much, even for Tracfone.

I ONLY need it for mobility. Have Ooma at home. $7 per month, and it has helped me out of some potentially bad travelling situations/emergencies. I'm OK with that, but like a good deal on minutes like anyone else. Don't worry, I'm a good slickdealer and have checked out all other options. I think maybe you aren't up with the limitations of a CDMA area, where you can only buy CDMA phones (of which there are like 2 or 3 from Tracfone.) ATT, Sprint, Alltel, T-Mobile etc NOT AVAILABLE HERE, and GSM Tracfones are not available for sale, and if you buy them somewhere else and try to make them work here, they work like crap. Only Tracfone CDMA as it rides on Verizon will work. Verizon is the only mobile carrier for miles and miles. I repeat- NO GSM service available. If you have any enlightening deals for this situation- taking care to actually look at what is available in a CDMA Verizon-only area, I'm all ears!

This is a Safelink only code, otherwise known as an 'Obama-phone'. Just used it on an online purchase of minutes for my Safelink phone on a 60 minute card and supposedly am getting 300 minutes total according to the on-screen receipt issued after the purchase. The minutes haven't come thru yet, but we shall see. Total cost including fees(E911 fee, reg. cost recovery fee and universal service charge [the fee that helps fund the safelink phone service]) and sales tax = $21.78.
