Official Battlefield 3 Thread (Xbox 360/PS3/PC)

Just a place holder. If I had to bet id say it will come out right around the same time MoH did last year.

IMO PC is the only way to play the REAL BF games. I'm just sick and tired of EA and Dice bringing out Wake Island out AGAIN. So many better maps than stupid Wake Island. Also Oman isn't great either. Karkand and Sharqi were my favorites though.

Of course PC is the way to play as thats what the game was designed for, not everyone can afford a computer able to play it or are willing to shell out that kind of cash to buy one though. I wish they would have choose something besides Wake Island to but are you really complaining about free maps? Dont like them, sell your code for the expansion or just don't play the maps. There will be plenty of other maps included on the disc

They really need to bring back a Mashtuur type map. Infantry based map supported by transport helis and armor.

Have they said how many maps are going to be included? I expect those old maps to be lumped in with thw new maps just so that Dice have 4 less maps to create. Their way of giving you an incentive to preorder.

Why do you expect that? From the way theyre wording it, it sounds like this expansion will be separate from the main multiplayer just like Vietnam in BC2

Trying to go off of memory, but there wasn't any exclusive bonus for BC1 or BC2...was there for MOH? I think EA has grown to like the Pre-Order = Limited Edition model (See: Bulletstorm as the most recent).

Gamestop got early access to the AKS74 and squad rush mode for BC2. If theres any exclusive bonuses im sure it will be more like that

Just episode 1. Single player. Pretty much just the full movie of the previous teaser and screenshots floating around. They didn't even show what happens after you drag your fallen team mate.

Gun sites are realistic. Nice touch. I read already about some "pros" complaining the gun sites are blocking too much of the view. Sad really.

Wat? No multiplayer videos yet? No one wants single player.
