This comes with ink?

I own this thing and have been looking to replace it. The reviews only look stellar because of all the 5 star ratings. One must not ignore the negative reviews that abound a plenty for this thing. The wireless on mine is iffy, and most importantly..you MUST have full ink in order to scan/copy or it won't let you. Forcing you to purchase more ink (when you're not completely empty). A marketing ploy that many printers use today.

Do your research if you're in the market for a new printer. The newer HP's and Cannons (most of them anyways) do not require you to purchase new ink in order to keep the printer functioning fully. I also owned the MP480 which looks very similar in appearance to this model, only you had to use a bluetooth adapter for wireless. It gave me the very same problems this model does. I'd print wirelessly and only half the page would print..if at all then it would stop..and freeze up. There were times I could get it to work great...but far and few between.

My whole house is wireless..(2 lappy's, a desktop..phones, T.V. BRPlayer and DSi XL.) and none of them have connectivity issues. I use a netgear dual band N router also.

I don't think 50.00 is worth the risk of having the issues I and many others on the amazon reviews have had But that's just my 2 cents.

I would say that it does come with ink. I could be wrong though

This is a great printer. I currently have one bought last year. I am getting another as a backup and to harvest the ink. Ink alone costs about $65.

Not true. The printer complains ink is low but if you click "OK" it keeps printing till output actually shows poor colors due to missing inks. Much better than anything from Epson and HP low-end inkjet.

Quality and speed is very decent, I use it primarily for kids' schoolwork.

Ive been lookign to replace my canon printer for a little while. Dotn liek how they seem to have either gone to a single ink cartridge for all colors, or the ones that actually keep the seperate color cartridges are now way smaller.

I have this printer and I like it very much. After market ink is readily available. I just got 10 ink cartridges for $18.00 I do not use the wi-fi feature so I can not comment on that.
Last time they had this model as a refurb. from Canon, it had a code for an additional $10.00 off. I did a search but could not find that code.

I have had this printer for about a year and we all love it. I personally have had not had any problems with the wireless connectivity. Also agree with the above poster for after market ink. We have used this ink: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/...ss_product with no problems. We don't print a lot of photos, but we haven't noticed any difference in the quality of our prints.

Use chip resetter to reset ink level.

And make a hole on the top part of cartridge and refill it. It will last basically "forever".

I Have had this printer for at least a year. Use it as wifi and never once had a problem. Buy all my ink at swiftink.com. Very cheap and works great!

I have this printer and standby it. Does seem kind of bulky at times though, but I guess they're all like that these days. Also, I wish there was a power button outside without having to lift the display cover.

It does come with ink.....that's about all I saw in there so far as I got my Canon 60D last night too (which took up all my attention) and didn't have time to do much more than open the printer box and look in

Do look forward to setting printer up though....any other questions on it feel free to ask me I can always peek more into box
