Lots of Posts on uverse deals on here hoping this will help someone save $$ who hasnt already figured it out- To those who already know- this serves as a reminder...

Ive been taking advantage of any and every Uverse promotion I can in the past but have mostly been calling in to get them--- The past few months Ive been doing everything online and for example upped my TV from U200 to U300 in one month and then to U450 the next month and getting either $$ back or instant discounts.. essentially my bill is staying about the same provided Im on top of the billing cycle..(I add an appt to cancel on my iphone calendar)

What I didnt realize is that I could remove services that I already have (for example my HD service ($10)) and submit the order-- then go back in minutes later and ADD the same service and they will give me a free month even though I already have had it for years...

Another example-- I was at u450 for a month on free promo and went to downgrade to u200 and added the movie package for free (per prompted promo)-- submitted order-- then went back in and added u300 that includes the movie package and after discounts it was the same price-- You get the gist-- their system can be manipulated...My bill stays net the same every month and I always have a promo in the till.... (be it a month or 6 months) They dont charge to monkey around with your bill and everything is spelled out cost wise before you submit...so go ahead and save some $...

Not sure how long these promotions will last but it seems every month it has something new for a net zero cost to subscribers...

I'm less interested in monkeying around with tiers and more so in reducing my 200+/month bill for U200/18mb/unlimited voice.

They screwed me hardcore out of about 175 bucks in giftcards they promised and tried to claim some whacky ass amount of some other discount I got covered it that even though I had chat transcripts to clearly prove otherwise.

Bunch of cheats to begin with, but that's besides the point I guess.

Any ideas on that front?

I would pull the comcast ad that says $99 for triple play and start from there....I also would escalate to a higher power if you arent getting the answer you are looking for-- Final resort- I would ask to speak to retentions and explain your case to them-- Every new person you speak to may have a different result... GL...

Ok so basically you just change your current plan back and forth each month to get the special promo offers? I just signed up for U200 with HBO free for 3 months, but I pay for Showtime. I just switched to U300 and get showtime included for 1 buck more than what I am paying, My question is, is there anyway I can keep the HBO promo continuing? or is there any other suggestions or "tips" for me to save? Thanks

Be very careful. I have have known this flaw with their system and have played around for the past one year getting many channels free month after monht. But recently (past 3 months) they now do some manual processing and do not give u the promo on a channel/package if it was cancelled in the past few days( I guess it's a month). Infact last time I tried it, my bill got really screwed and they double charged me. I had to call and get it rectified.

I had the exact thing happen to me. I had an online order saved and later placed the order via phone. I repeatedly asked if I would still get the gift cards ($250) and was told I would recieve the amount as a credit on my bill.

A month later, no credit, no gift cards. I called several times and was told since I phoned the order, I wasn't eligible. I told them I had asked repeatedly about the offer when I placed my order and was told I would get the money.

Finally, I spoke to a manager who nearly instantly issued the gift cards. I guess my advice would be to keep trying! If you are rejected, ask to speak to a manager. It seems to be a matter of finding the right person to talk to (which is easier said then done). You are entitled to these cards, but they will make you work for them!

I highly recommend that you exact your revenge upon them... bwahahahaha...

Oh, and ATT blows - they screw every single customer they have, have had, or ever will have. Having any service with them is a license for them to screw you... didn't you read their fine print?

Call and ask to cancel, you'll be forwarded to the retention dept. not regular CS. Much better chance of getting something that you want, especially something you were promised, like that rebate.

How do you get the movie channel promos?

I also talked them into giving me 24Mbps internet with $20 off and a $90 credit (to make it the same price as 12Mbps internet for 6 months. Hoping I can get that credit again when it rolls around. I also get $10 off for HD, but only $15 off per month for the U200, not $30.

Oh, I also got a one time $150 credit for using their 'new' repair service when I was having issues with my xbox connection sucking up my bandwidth. The repair service suggested upgrading my bandwidth, (which is how I negotiated the cheaper 24Mbps speed). That didn't actually solve my problem, but setting up another wireless router behind the RG did.

What I do is just pay $0.01 twice everyday with a credit card. That way they get charged for the transaction fee by the credit card company and lose money that way. Then I pay the ATT balance on the last day. Hopefully some of you guys join me on my vendetta.
