I'm not a big target shopper so this was a surprising find - usually goes to salvage before I can catch it
If you can find any valentines day candy left, hidden on the extreme endcaps - the prices are crazy good The $5.50 fancy chocolates Ghirardelli dark chocolate with strawberry filling - are 50 cents The cashier almost did the saturday night live parody where they drop everything and run away from the register to get the deal. |

I'm going to put my 2 cents in on the yogurt discussion. This yogurt is really good and I ate it for years when I lived overseas. They eat much healthier than we do on a daily basis. These answers might make you look at it differently...Gelatin is in a lot of things! There are things in your food you would never guess and have probably been eating for years
I'm sure they use the fish gelatin so it can be certified Kosher!GELATIN MANUFACTURERS INSTITUTE OF AMERICA had to say: Q. What is gelatin? A. Gelatin is defined as a "product obtained from partial hydrolysis of collagen derived from natural sources such as skin, connective tissue, and bones of animals." It is an easily digestible protein that contains all the essential amino acids except tryptophan. Gelatin is NOT a chemical or chemically modified substance. Q. Where does gelatin come from? A. The raw materials used in the production of gelatin are from healthy animals and include cattle bone, cattle hides and fresh, frozen pigskins. In the North American market, these raw materials are basically sourced from government-inspected meat processing facilities. Q. How is gelatin used? A. Gelatin has traditionally been used in three major areas: food, pharmaceutical, and photographic industries. Gelatin use in the food industry is probably best recognized in gelatin desserts and confectionery applications such as marshmallows and gummi candies. It is also used as a binding and/or glazing agent in meats and aspics. In the pharmaceutical health industry, gelatin is used to make the shells of hard and soft capsules for medicines, dietary/health supplements, syrups, etc. It is highly digestible and serves as a natural protective coating for medications. The unique chemical and physical properties of gelatin make it an important component in the photographic industry. Gelatin serves many useful purposes in the preparation of silver halide emulsions in the production of photographic film. A new, major application for gelatin is in the paintball industry. The classic-style "war games" are played out using projectiles constructed of gelatin. Q. Can gelatin be certified kosher or halal? A. While the Jewish and Islamic requirements are quite different, gelatin does carry the approval of both groups. There are many Jewish Rabbinical agencies that grant approval. While each agency is not universally recognized by all the other agencies (within each religion) it is up to the individual Rabbi, at the plant using the gelatin in a finished product, to accept or reject the certification. The same is true of Islamic agencies certifying, or accepting, Halal status. Not all gelatin is from pork. Gelatin can also be derived froim cows or fish. This would then be labelled as Beef Gelatine or Fish Gelatine, both of which are permissible for Jews or Muslims. Some jello that is not made from pork. There are also products that contain no meat at all. For instance agar agar or carageenan which is made from seaweed. This is also found in many gummy candies. Dole also has a jello w/ fruit cup made from carageenan. Also not all gelatin is pork that is what makes it kosher. If you follow only one rule, let it be this one. Be yourself. The really strong relationships are based on what people really are, not on what they pretend to be. ![]() |

We had a problem here, knowing how the school system works, we took our problem right to the top. Tizzy doesn't play when it comes to her babies. ![]()

Kidding. I know there probably isn't a lick of tilapia taste in the yogurt but my mind will tell me otherwise. I'm crazy like that. ![]() Sometimes I can detect the Omega3 stuff. I stopped buying Newman's Own dressings because I poured some of the balsamic on my salad, thought it tasted fishy, read the label and sure enough, Omega 3. I doubt it's the same with the yogurt.

I called the school and as I expected they blamed transportation. I am waiting for a call back from the principal. I have the name of the head person in transportation and will be calling her in a few minutes.
If you don't need your boxtops for education I can use them!

Except there's no need for gelatin in yogurt... the gelatin must be being used to compensate for some result they aren't obtaining naturally in the manufacturing process... ah yes.. the mousse type texture? Beats me -- I can't eat it -- because wheat doesn't belong in yogurt either. lol WHERE ARE YOU? If you only post "I WENT TO MY LOCAL STORE" and you don't indicate what city/location and your location is not in your profile so that it displays under your screen name, your post IS NOT HELPFUL at all. SO, PLEASE IDENTIFY YOUR LOCATION! Thank You.

Sorry if this has been asked already but this thread is super long.
With the new Publix e coupons: 1. Are these Publix coupons or are they manufacture coupons? 2. Is there a limit to how many of one coupon you can use per trip? Example: clip .55 off two bagelfuls. Could I buy 4 boxes and get 1.10 off or would the coupon only go through one time? Thanks for any help. |

I have used TQs with what was supposed to come off (but I'm batting 2 for 12 right now with dQs). I do hope y'all have better luck and that your stores are trained better. My store handed me a website address manually printed on a 3x5 index card when I had my first issue. 3+ weeks went by before Inmar fixed the issue with the dQ (but they didn't credit my account or refund what was supposed to come off when I bought twice). I popped into a Publix the first day they started the eCoupons.... I said no I was not interested, and then the cashier nailed that coffin for me as I handed her a SAL coupon and she said that Once I hand over the SAL, the digital phone number knows and will not allow the SAL coupon to be used again for the month.... ![]() I went and asked showing Management that I had 4 WD coupons with me, and why can't I use more than 1 per month. Management said no that is not what happens... but still that skeeeeeeeeeeered me. I have told everyone absolutely not until all problems are resolved. Problems, we have no problems hahaha, ask Ocala about your problems ![]() The few couponing cashiers that I know all have said no to digital! 1 cashier told me I better, because in a year there will be no more paper coupons..... Wonder if anyone told SS or RP about that
