Thread Details

The PUBLIX thread is IMHO the best grocery store thread around heart
Here's a little chat area for us all to share info, recipes, rant's, raves and whatever else we want without clogging up the regular weekly deals thread for PUBLIX. If we want to share super deals we find in other stores or whatnot that's ok too heart

I think we all are such a great family that it's a good to have our own special place Grouphug

You can post basically anything you like in here but let's keep deals info in the actual PUBLIX thread. All are welcome and basically no major rules except be kind and courteous of other's and treat each other with respect. Other than that let's all have some fun! Also you don't have to shop at PUBLIX to share in the chat or whatnot... we like everyone.

Reps are back...for now. Stick Out Tongue I owe loads of gratitude to everyone that got me where I am! Read the *NEW* CVS FAQ and post your questions there. Let's keep the deal threads deal-related, please.
Would it kill you to read the wiki? Or to read the thread? All the experts got to where they are by reading...you can too.

I feel like the mole in whack-a-mole.

Every time I stick my head up the last two days, I get whacked.
(My inventory clerk job kicked back in... if I hear "I gave that back months ago" one more time I'm gonna whack someone Bonk Inventory is easy, you move it, you tell me the day it moves. How difficult is this?)

Holy crap, I am going to go insane before the election is over. I can't get on Facebook any longer without everyone attacking everyone else! I happen to love politics, but I don't respond to namecalling and passive aggressive comments (both sides are guilty of this) shake head

...snip...

Trying a recipe for cottage cheese pancakes. Hoping to find something healthy and high protein for baby the last few months.

I can't believe how sick I am. Made one trip out to Publix last night (my first time out of the house in about 4 days) and even they seemed concerned. I was wiped out after that, sigh. Today I had planned on doing some recycling bins to get some inserts and I was just too sick to go. So just hoping I didn't miss out on too much. Frown I know I need to wane down the shopping the last couple of months anyhow, this might be a step in the right direction. The stockpile is decent actually and I know I will need to keep life simple the next so many months.
I was actually supposed to be home resting (told that to my boss, cause it was my plan) when we decided to wait for the motorcade. I've got a terrible cold made worse, I'm sure, because I can't get any rest. The baby has been waking up nearly hourly to feed for a couple of weeks now. I hope you get some rest!

I've been a virtual bump on a log. The kids basically ate stuff out of a can tonight (soup or chef boyardee and watermelon tonight). Of course, then a little bit of ben & jerry's. What can I say, I'm weak. Sigh. It's just me taking care of them tonight as well.

The head is just a mess STILL. I can't believe that it's taking so long to kick this. And, it's not that I'm not getting better, I am...but so slowly it's feeling ridiculous. The right eye almost looks normal again (except for a little discharge) but the left it about a day behind it. It just feels like this bug has taken over my body way too much. 3/4 kids also got it, but they're pretty much over it already except ds who has a wee bit of a cough in the morning. I had some encouragement today when I talked to my family member who was a doctor who told me he wasn't surprised since my whole body is basically working overtime caring for baby and I'm in a weakened immune state. Thanks..Roll Eyes (Sarcastic). I have managed to cough so much that I pulled a muscle and have given myself a couple of good contractions. YUCK! This is still with the coughing being about 70% better than it was two days ago. Getting better is WAY more important than shopping right now. Thankfully there isn't that much I'm too excited about at Publix right now anyhow in this ad!

Oh, and I get a call from the inlaws wanting to do an impromptu visit TOMORROW. OMG. They have no clue (told them I was sick earlier, guess they don't remember?). I would freak the crud out of them horking up all the phlem. I think I scared them away with DETAILS though!

on rydergal's old theme of Enjoy the City Books, there was a craiglist ad here locally for $2 for the coupons (expire 12/31/12). I inquired, as I thought this wouldn't be bad for the Star Market Qs in the book.

The book is not for sale, it's each individual coupon. She's nuts! Crazy

ETA: Ryder you'd be rich if you got to sell each individual Q for $2 in all your books.

Stocked up on Stoeffer's lasagna and meatloaf today with the Buy 6 and get 20% off (Target coupon). I only had 5 of the $1.50/1 mq to use with them but when I added in the $5/$30 and a few other items I needed to pick up, it made for a great deal. The 20% q expires on 10/20...wish I had some more mq to do it again!

(BTW, to save trouble, I stopped by the CS desk and that person did the calculation and wrote the amount on the coupon so the cashier didn't need to do any calculating...it did steal a penny from me with his rounding down instead of up, laugh out loud but I let that slide.)
