Thread Details

The PUBLIX thread is IMHO the best grocery store thread around heart
Here's a little chat area for us all to share info, recipes, rant's, raves and whatever else we want without clogging up the regular weekly deals thread for PUBLIX. If we want to share super deals we find in other stores or whatnot that's ok too heart

I think we all are such a great family that it's a good to have our own special place Grouphug

You can post basically anything you like in here but let's keep deals info in the actual PUBLIX thread. All are welcome and basically no major rules except be kind and courteous of other's and treat each other with respect. Other than that let's all have some fun! Also you don't have to shop at PUBLIX to share in the chat or whatnot... we like everyone.

I didn't mean it as a trick question. I can't see the ad coupon online and have to wait until my Enjoy the City coupons are here before I shop this week. Before I saw Kelly breaking down a cash drawer, I didn't know that Publix even sold postage stamps..

I didn't know Publix sold stamps, either! It's been awhile since I read the fine print on those gas card Qs, so I had no idea they were an exclusion.

have the same problemI with these deals- very hard for me to get up to the $50 mark. I try to use it as a chance to buy the stuff that usually doesn't go on sale or doesn't have a Q.
I'm surprised they don't do this in your area. Upon checking out, I would say about 30% of the time, the cashier will ask me if she can get anything else for me, maybe I need stamps, etc.

I don't have any problem getting to the $50 threshold. Depend underwear for my mom! Thankfully they chose this week to put them on sale. I sure do miss the PQ they used to put in the green flyer. Used to be $3, and then a while back they changed it to $2, and for a good while now, it's just disappeared .

Let me know if you'd like some printables for your mom. I can print from two computers on coupons.com, smartsource.com and redplum.com (provided it wants to play nice)

It's a beautiful morning for December.

I just had to share this funny kid story. The number one thing on DS1 Christmas list is another brother. I tried to explain that it wasn't very likely at 47. He looked very confused and said since I'm not a grandma I can still have kids. Poor little thing. He won't be getting a brother for Christmas.

I told my only child who last year wanted a brother that Santa doesn't bring babies. There are no car seats on the slegh!!! Wink

Remember the cheap pasta from a year ago (was it more than a year ago?)

Finally on my last box. Wish I had gotten more!

JD! I just saw your sig- I didn't know you were a Notre Dame fan! What do you think about ND going up against Alabama?

I could care less about football in general, all I care about is how Notre Dame is doing. It's especially nice when they're having an amazing season Big Grin

The way I see it
every life is a pile of good things and bad things.
The good things don’t always soften the bad things
but vice versa
the bad things don’t necessarily spoil the good things
and make them unimportant

Thanks C4. Looks like I'm headed to Target with this then. Excellent stocking stuffers for the older nieces and nephews.
I shopped at a Super Target yesterday and it appears they no longer carry the little bags. They were giving out one as a freebie yesterday though.

Yay for the freebie Sadwalk that they don't have the small bags anymore.

Does anyone have any of the $3/2 Nivea lip coupons to trade? I checked the trading thread, but the people I saw with a location are very far away (or they don't have a place) for mailing purposes and I'd like to use them at CVS this week to get some small gifts. I know that Publix peeps are close by and that other areas of Florida get them. I'm happy to trade other insert coupons if we got them. TIA!!

We are HUGE Notre Dame fans. My dad went there, all three of my brothers went there, half my family went there and most people I knew growing up went there! I however went to Florida to go to College!! I'm a sun girl!! So long snow!! I would love for DS to go there.

I was hoping Georgia would win. I think ND would have had a better chance of winning the National Championship, plus I wouldn't have had to listen to DH whine about the game last night (. . . and today). He went to Georgia and is a die hard fan.

I'm a little worried about the Tide. They are damn good. It kills me the game is not until January 7th!!! UGH!!! You are close to the game. Are you going???? Big Grin

MY CHRISTMAS CARDS ARE DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whee

My DS is 9. I have used Shutterfly for the last 9 years for Christmas cards. The first year I had the bright idea to enter my addresses in their program and let them send them for me. Now they hold my "official list" per se. It used to be free to have them address them and mail them and now they charge .50 a card or something like that, but the quality is fabulous, I don't have to enter a single address and they are done in 1 day. POOF. I never see them again. I am willing to spend the money to be done with them.

I had reecived an email from Shutterfly that ended last night for 50% plus 20% off cards. I figured out I could save over $125.00 if I got my sh** together and did them yesterday from start to finish. I drug my child outside to take pictures. I took about 150 pictures in 2 rounds and I found 1 that I could work with. The sun was not cooperating with my picturesque backgrounds!! lol

It then took me 5 hours to find the right card, design the card, blah, blah, blah, but they are done. 100% done. I have sent out 117 Christmas cards. Shutterfly will address the envelopes, stamp them and mail them. All I get is a package of 10 for teachers and peeps I forgot. Why do you care? You don't. However, I feel great. One HUGE thing off my Holiday to do list. Now if the laundry fairy could just show up at my house!!!! laugh out loud

That's great! I ordered 2 free boxes of cards from Shutterfly in November. The quality is excellent and they are one of a kind cards. One of our clients made an art project and we turned it into a card.

I still have to address, stuff, and mail them. I like the stick on stamps we got from Vistaprint (for free) for the return address, but we handwrite the recipient address. My 9 year old DS usually helps and it looks so cute with a kids handwriting on the from of the envelope nod
