Thread Details

The PUBLIX thread is IMHO the best grocery store thread around heart
Here's a little chat area for us all to share info, recipes, rant's, raves and whatever else we want without clogging up the regular weekly deals thread for PUBLIX. If we want to share super deals we find in other stores or whatnot that's ok too heart

I think we all are such a great family that it's a good to have our own special place Grouphug

You can post basically anything you like in here but let's keep deals info in the actual PUBLIX thread. All are welcome and basically no major rules except be kind and courteous of other's and treat each other with respect. Other than that let's all have some fun! Also you don't have to shop at PUBLIX to share in the chat or whatnot... we like everyone.

I miss the PQ listing in the wiki. I guess I didn't realize how much I'd miss it.

I shop at a tiny Publix store (Meridianville). I've looked for Yoplait Greek 100 yogurt but they just don't carry it.

Does anyone else's store carry Yoplait Greek 100 yogurt, so I know to look at a bigger store? (TQ plus doubling of a $50/2 Q... it's got to be cheaper than my Kroger yogurt)

Checked Brentwood, TN -- shake headnoshake head on the Yoplait Greek.

Thank you for looking for me. I guess Krogers it is (I know they carry it)
Looks like Publix is changing, as Yoplait 100 Calorie Greek is in the preview of the new Grocery Advantage flyer (ex yellow).

TQ ==> Yoplait Greek 100 Yogurts 5.3 oz $1off3 exp 02/26/13

$1 each, 50/2 doubles, but I can only use one like TQ per transaction, so buy 4, $4, use two $.50/2 (doubles) -2, TQ -1, so four for $1? not bad... not outstanding, but not bad.

This is just a random vent.

Why does everything happen at the same time? Expensive things I mean.

Dishwasher gushed water everywhere & now my under sink cabinet is pretty much falling apart (the bottom is completely warped/caved. DH took car for oil change & it needs brakes. Now the air handler is pouring water into our garage - and soaked through a case of paper.

Sigh.
Well, the A/C company came out. Apparently, there was a decomposing snake in the overflow line - or as the guy put it "sometimes snakes crawl up in there and turn to goo" LMAO

Glad you got it fixed! But I have to admit the snake thing is gross laugh out loud

My officemate got engaged last night. So, of course, it's a big freaking deal. And she wasn't in the office for an hour before she started saying things about me being single (she does that a lot, but it's worse today). At 27, I'm the oldest in the department and the only one who is single and has no desire to get married or have kids.

I'm tired of them trying to "save" me from being single. I know they say some of it jokingly, but it hurts. Don't make fun of my animals and tell me they're the reason I'm going to be alone forever. It's not funny. Frown

The way I see it
every life is a pile of good things and bad things.
The good things don’t always soften the bad things
but vice versa
the bad things don’t necessarily spoil the good things
and make them unimportant

Comfort

You have a new job. Do not tell them off!

I'm the old maid in my family. There are worse things (ask someone that's been thru a terrible marriage and nasty divorce).

I'm keeping my mouth shut, trust me. But I'll be damned if I let some 22 year old make me feel like shit. I'm perfectly capable of doing that on my own.

Sigh. Just had to vent.

I was married at 23 and it was one of the worst mistakes of my life, because I was worried I wasn't good enough for the good guys, and felt like I needed to jump on what I could. Don't feel bad about still being single at 27! I wish I had stayed that way a lot longer.

I met current DH at 29 and married him at 31. He's 10 years older than me, so I can only imagine how he felt not finding the right person until 39! (assuming I'm the right person of course...some days he may question that Teehee )

My sis has some of the same issues...she's 32 and still single. She's been engaged, but that was a disaster. She has 6 cats, 2 dogs, and is looking to start helping a local rescue foster other dogs every now and again. She gets a lot of the same comments about being single and having so many critters. It always hurts. Frown

Reps are back...for now. Stick Out Tongue I owe loads of gratitude to everyone that got me where I am! Read the *NEW* CVS FAQ and post your questions there. Let's keep the deal threads deal-related, please.
Would it kill you to read the wiki? Or to read the thread? All the experts got to where they are by reading...you can too.

Don't let it bother you (I know it's easier said than done) and you certainly don't need saving! At 22, she doesn't know nuttin' . It will happen if you want it to happen and probably when you least expect it.

I was still single at 28 (I had a live-in relationship from 18-25, that I thought was going to end in marriage, well it ended alright, but not in marriage!). From 25-28 I was like "why me". Then BAM! I met DH and was married within 6 months (that was 14 years ago).

As for the ex-bf, after we broke up, he moved in with another girl (for about 12 years), they broke up and he's now living with another girl (a little over a year I think). I don't think he has any intention of ever getting married, despite "putting a ring on it" Wink

Publix is launching an online system this week that lets shoppers browse hundreds of relatively higher-value coupons online, virtually clip them out, and redeem the discounts automatically at the checkout lane. Supposed to start in central FL and be system wide by the end of March.

Do ya'll think this will be the end of the Advantage Flyers, etc.? I really hope not. I hate the thought of being limited to one item b/c there is only one digital coupon.
