Thread Details

The PUBLIX thread is IMHO the best grocery store thread around heart
Here's a little chat area for us all to share info, recipes, rant's, raves and whatever else we want without clogging up the regular weekly deals thread for PUBLIX. If we want to share super deals we find in other stores or whatnot that's ok too heart

I think we all are such a great family that it's a good to have our own special place Grouphug

You can post basically anything you like in here but let's keep deals info in the actual PUBLIX thread. All are welcome and basically no major rules except be kind and courteous of other's and treat each other with respect. Other than that let's all have some fun! Also you don't have to shop at PUBLIX to share in the chat or whatnot... we like everyone.

before you buy all the eggs, check Aldi's, as they have been 69¢ a dozen for 4 weeks here.
I was just there and they were like $1.22 here...we've never had great deals on eggs like that at ours! Frown I wish they did!

For all you Amazon shoppers, if you order something, try adding it back to your cart to watch and see if the price drops. The last 3 orders I had, the price dropped the next day. These were all on items that I had been watching for weeks and had been holding steady, too. I was told you get 7 days to get an adjustment, so it's worth it to keep watch (especially since Amazon tells you when the price changes).

That being said...I need an idea for a baby shower gift for a coworker. Just a cute outfit? If so, what size? Anything else that might be practical?

diapers, wipes, diapers, wipes Big Grin As for the outfit, I'd go with 3-6m or 6-9m.

Grrr.....my day is so NOT starting off well. Hubby was supposed to go to Super Target on his way home from dropping DD off at Pre-K (amongst other things, he was to bring home Starbucks!).

After getting our other daughter up & dressed, I come out to the living room - and he left all the coupons, gift cards & Starbucks card on the end table.

I called him to tell him (he's the type of person that wouldn't remember until he was actually AT Target) & he bit my head off "yeah, I know, it's not like I can turn around & come get them now" (snarkily).

I so needed the early kick in the pants. I have a ton of laundry to do, two walls to wash and paint, Easter Eggs to dye, Easter Menu to plan, a roast to cook - le sigh.

You can do missed Qs at Target.

At least he got off the couch to shop for you.

Have a better day!

Is there a baby registry? We have two baby's being born this spring. Both registries had baby monitors. I bought this one [amazon.com] and they loved it. It's also sold at Walmart. I also did a lot of wipes and diapers, baby shampoo, baby wash, diaper rash cream, blankets, baby bottles, and other odds and ends. But this was for a family members so we went over board. Blush2

Our Target will only do a missed coupon within 24 hours. Neither one of us have time to go anytime after this morning. He came home, got the coupons, went out there and came back. No razors to be found.

He has to drive past 2 Targets to take DD to pre-K (and pick her up), so we weren't going to be wasting the gas. Instead, he had to waste gas.

It's not the couch he has to get off of - it's the computer, lol.

He had a choice: go to Target or paint the walls. He chose the prior.

You folks know I'm shopping at other stores than Publix, picking up specials...trying to stretch my $$.

I had a rain check from my local Pig affliate for Minute Maid bottled orange juice for $1.99 each. I had one coupon for $1 off. I handed cashier the rain check before she started and she still rang the juice up normally and then had to void it off

EEK! Who buys Orange Juice that's $4.59 for ONE 59 oz bottle? EEK! My goodness... and here I hate to pay $3 for Simply Juice before Qs.
I was happy to have had the rain check and the coupon. There is no way I would pay that for OJ. That same Pig affliate has Kentucky Legend ham for 2.99/lb, but all the hams they had expire on 5 April, so I passed.

ETA: I noticed my Aldi's had the 12 pk King's Hawaiian rolls today for 1.99. I've never seen them there before (I was buying Clancy's Corn Chips for a work cookout... now I still have two bags left)

Hoping to have cable internet and TV tonight. Was out yesterday morning before coming to work, and all last night and again this morning. Supposedly someone cut a fiber optic line.

I guess on the bright side my Qs are sorted, more clothes washed, etc.

That is the upside to it! Hope your cable service has been returned. Smilie

So am I the only procrastinator who has done zero Easter candy shopping? I need to figure out some good deals soon. I'm running out of time!

Yep, it was back last night. Got to see Ohio State win, so my bracket is still on life support.

No bunny here. I still have too much candy from Christmas clearance at Target.

Xmas? Candy would never last that long here! DH is just as bad as the girls with his sweet tooth. I have to plan my Easter dinner too! I need to get my butt in gear. Teehee

Okey doke y'all...it has been a long while since I posted an ETC deal, but I think this one really hits the spot...guess I'm gonna place an order for some WD q's that'll expire in Dec.

Code HOP valid now through 4/2/13 midnight CST

All books 50% off
Order 5 or more and you order is doubled
Order 25 or more and your order is tripled

The regular City books are $20, but wait................
The Ultimate books are clearanced for $10!!!!!!

250.00 25 Ultimate books
-125.00 discount (and this does show up on the order screen, so it works)

125.00 OOP

get 75 books, or 1.67 each ($.41 per WD Q)

I don't see much of anything else in the AL Ultimate book that I'll use (though it does have TN's beloved Star Market q's, so she'll have as many of those as she wants), so I may throw in a few local ones just to get some of the restaurant Q's...will have to check it out and see what the cost/benefit ratio looks like.

The fine print:

Effective Friday, 3/29/13 through 4/2/13 at midnight CST *Note: the Order Confirmation/Receipt will only reflect the books ordered. Bonus books will not be reflected on the Order Confirmation/Receipt but will be fulfilled in the redemption process.

Luckily I bought 6 bags of the Whoppers Eggs @ CVS - 'cause DDs Pre-K wanted each kid to bring in a dozen plastic eggs with googies inside and I had nada.

My dad actually bought baskets for the Easter Bunny to hide for the girls, so, all I have to do is Easter Dinner!

Guess I'll have to breakdown & buy some too - since the never ending supply of SAL coupons dried up. Of course, once I place the order, SAL will start putting out coupons again Wink
