I am not gig of computer but I had satellite AMD Turion 64* 2, dual core, 2 GHz, 3 GB ram and 32 bit operating system. Just wondering, system wise if I upgrade w8 to 4 GB ram, which would run faster. Just wondering, I am really poor in these processor mathematics.

Bluetooth tethering works impeccably on Windows 7 using my iPhone. The battery also seems like it's gonna last for 5-6 hours with the wifi card on and moderate usage. I haven't done anything too stressful, but just browsing websites and the sort and I have 2.5 hours left with 39%, which puts the calculation at about 6.5 hours of battery life. Not too bad.

At the end of the day, I think VMware will works in the W8. However, it depends on what is your expectation of the performance. |

My guess is that Mr.Zoz processed as many orders he could each day at the top of his orders/ email list (newest date first). If he didn't process the rest of that particular days order, they just went to the bottom of his emails and the next day he processed as many orders from the top of his emails. Whatever they did, it was quite random and not very equitable. But this was a special deal (really intended for employees/ families/friends) and I completely understand that the ones that got it are fortunate. Their handling of the whole situation was poor (probably because they were overwhelmed), but I'm not angry. Just wasn't one of the lucky ones. Oh well. Another deal will come along. I really have been wanting a toughbook. If anyone wants to sell one to me, let me know. |

Politely emailed this afternoon my order number and information regarding my credit card being charged a week and a half ago. Shipment notice this afternoon, already at the Fedex site in NE and expected delivery tomorrow. Not the most powerful laptop for the money, but a 3 year warranty and almost indestructible build quality mean a lot.

Was looking at some of the eBay listings, thinking I might pick one up there since I got shut out.... one small problem though: there's a LOT of misleading going on, presumably out of ignorance.
And a lot of potentially burned buyers. Anyone who buys one from a flipper, either on eBay or here, is buying a unit with no warranty. Panasonic warrantees are nontransferrable. Since it's not YOUR name on the original invoice, you're SOL should you ever need warranty service. In my opinion that cuts the resale value significantly. Sony Vaio Z11... 3.0 pounds of screaming awesomeness: Core i5-540m, 8GB RAM, Switchable graphics (Intel HD/1GB Nvidia GeForce 330M), 1600x900 screen, three 64GB SSDS in RAID 0, DVDRW, Verizon WWAN, backlit keyboard, HDMI... and a pony.
