Am I totally asleep at the wheel? I went to Kroger today and did the Duracell deal again to use the remaining coupons I have. I grabbed 4 batteries, and they rang up 50% off with the words "HOLIDAY BONUS" underneath. I did the deal a 2nd time and this didn't happen again. Does anyone know about this promo?

Dealz, I appreciate this post and hope all the folks here actually follow up. I had this happen once a few years ago and .. after I was finished, never again were coupon limits an issue (although my fellow Colorado shoppers literally an hour south of me still face this).

Briefly, I had my wife stop at King Soopers after work to buy Alpo canned dog food. There was a Catalina deal for $1 for 12. My wife had 6 coupons ( .75/2) and the cashier went so far as to void the whole order and do 2 transactions .. so no Catalina OYNO. She expressed her displeasure at CS (no help) and, so to say, gave it back to me to "fix".

Indeed, I did fix it after contacting Kroger CS and Purina. It took some effort, but from then on never were coupons and numbers an issue. In fact, the manager of that store had to call me and very apologetically and bluntly said that they implemented this for people clearing shelves (paraphrased) and "I have a dog and usually buy a case at a time. 12 cans of dog food is hardly shelf clearing" (paraphrased). BTW, Purina responded by assuring me contacted the retailer and the situation would be satisfactorily addressed .. oh, and sent me 3 free can coupons. And, although offered more from King Soopers, I was happy to get my $1 of dog food I missed out on (the Catalina) and not having to deal with coupon limits. I was also going to complain to Catalina, but Purina responded so fast there was no need (they were the sponsors of the Catalina offer, as are almost all manufacturers where Catalinas are offered).

I suppose they picked the wrong products (cans of dog food - 12??) and the wrong person (I'll take action) - they looked absolutely like idiots.

Every retailer has the right to limit product quantities and this is how to manage shelf clearing .. it is not easy to keep inventory when there is an unexpected spike in sales (but they should at least do "some" anticipation).

Complaints do work when a manager or higher goes above and beyond.. also, stores with official coupon policies (Safeway, Walgreens, Rite Aid that I know) do not state coupon limits ... manufacturers maybe would not like that??

Happy Thanksgiving all ...
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of coupon limits "tested" at your store. I agree contacting the manufacturer is the only way to resolve this issue - they can and will contact Kroger. If there is currently a limit of like coupons set by Kroger at your stores you should consider contacting all the top manufacturer's that you purchase products from. As far as Kroger not stocking shelves or keeping up with inventory the manufacturer's would be interested in this information as well because they pay Kroger to make sure the shelves are stocked. Also, if you do not see coupon tearpads at your store for brand name manufacturer items they would also be interested in getting feedback on this issue.

I do see Kroger trying to implement this policy at all stores. If this is a "marketing tactic" used to increase Kroger STORE BRAND sales and displace the BRAND Name manufacturer's they have sadly under estimated their customer's.

The Manufacturer's spend billions on marketing and advertising (which includes coupons). They also pay a fortune to Kroger in slotting or shelf fees.
The most expensive real estate is not in New York City or Beverley Hills it's at your grocery store: according to the United States Chamber of Commerce slotting fees as of 2009 run between a few hundred up to $25,000 per item. Kroger also receives instant rebates and incentives from the manufacturer's which helps to produce all the MEGA SALES.

Consumers Use Over $3.5 Billion in Coupons [inmar.com]
"Brands saw coupons as a key to maintaining brand strength," adds Matthew Tilley, Director of Marketing for Inmar's promotion services division. "If they reduced their promotional presence, they stood to lose sales to lower priced competitors and store brands – so they doubled down hoping to create brand loyalty once the economic dust settles."

Gillette or Old Spice Body Wash 12-18 oz $3.00
Gillette or Old Spice Deodorant or Body Spray 2.6-4 oz $3.00
Thanks.

Supposedly in the 11/28 P&G insert:

Buy two Gillette Deodorants Get one Gillette Deodorant free (ETS) (Up to $4.99)

Gillette deodorant $2/1

Old Spice deodorants (1.7 oz or larger) $1/2

Then as dealz mentioned.. there is a $2/2 EQ for the Old Spice.. Wish they had one for the Gillette..

FREE deal!

Keebler Fudge Shoppe Cookies 8.5-12 oz $1.49

If you have 5 of those green Keebler Rebate coupon books, the math would look like this:

$1.49 x 10= $14.90 - (5) $1/2 = $9.90

So with the $10 rebate WYB 10 Keebler cookie products (7.5oz or larger), they'll be free in the end yummy.

FYI: There are 2 $10 rebates in that booklet, make sure you send in the one for either 11/1/10 - 11/30/10 or 12/1/10 - 12/31/10, depending on when you do your purchase Smilie

For those with Save over $70 dairy booklet from Safeway, and Mega deal starting on Sunday, cheap Daisy sour cream! Use $0.50/1 Daisy sour cream (16oz or larger). The coupon expires on 11/30/10. Sucks for me since our mega starts on December 1.

Hey neighbor! Boy I sure hope that is the case at my Frisco Kroger! I have asked each time I go in and no one can answer me. I dread going to CS to get refunds if it is not true - so I have chickened out and not tried. I might have to try again. Thanks! Smilie
Did it again last night...it's definitely working at Main and Teel in Frisco. Yea!

For those of you ordering I am pretty sure, the Ceser entrees onsale are the regular ones normally .89.
The cesar bistros most likely will not be included, so all of the coupons attached to this deal would be void and not legit unless you have ones that do not say bistro.
I just don't want you ordering lots of mq's and then the bistros not being on sale.
As whats pictured is not the bistros.
HTH some.

How do I request it? I have been seeing people using Kroger coupons in store, but I never get it in mail. Online acct doesn't have an option to allow paper K coupons to be mailed to me. TIA.wave
