all tech support threads will now be answered with possibly random and false information.
This is due to the retardedness of posters and answering posters in general. thank you, have a nice day. |

I would be all over this if I lived in Las Vegas but I've had enough relocating for awhile.
Alternatively, move the racks to the datacenter I work at in Buffalo! ![]() Due to my influence, over 3/4 of the staff visits SD several times a day! That's corruption you can count on!Happy hunting! (for candidates) // "Build a man a fire and he stays warm for one night. Set a man afire and he stays warm for the rest of his life."
// "Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it." - That guy that said stuff |

Nights/Weekends as necessary kills it for me, especially if it's already a 9-5 kind of job. If it's really flexible schedule + nights/weekends as needed, that's a different story.
Salary range really would be helpful. And one last bit, aside from racks/failover/load balancing, why does it sound like you're also the regular tech guy for users? --That said, I'm tempted to apply just for the cool tag under my name, like Odds and Redsolar have.

Salary really depends on experience, and what you can show for it.
Once a candidate applies, we can talk about salary and everything else during the phone screen. Schedule is flexible, so it's not a 9-5 + nights and weekends. Plus if you are a system administrator and have to work nights and weekends because something failed (and needs immediate attention at night or on a weekend) there's only one person to blame for it ![]() For example, I am on call 24/7, all notices regarding failures get paged to my phone, 90% of the time I can look at it, and say ok, I'll fix it in the morning, and go back to my sleep
