I was lucky enough to get a mastercard when they first were promoting their chase freedom card, and later a picked up a visa once they switched over. But I agree, it sucks that chase is all visa now :/ What sucks most though is when they changed their rewards program (especially the 250$ cashback for 200$ in rewards).
Least you can still get the discover card which is directly through them. I do hate Costco for only accepting Amex and Sam's club has a similar policy? boo on them, for the most part though I think visa is the best, just sucks when other CC companies basically throw their money around and lower the options we as consumers have.
Got my 150$ cash back transfer straight to my checking account with chase.
Points are updated monthy. so you will not see any points till you get your monthly statements
After points are received you get an option to spend the points.
I spent mine on 150$ cash transfer to my checking account ( chase checking which is also linked to my chase freedom account)( you can use this for gift cards ect.)
This process takes anoter 5-7 days to see the amount in my checking account.
I got a letter saying " too many requests for credit or opened accounts with us". Does anyone have the direct number to the cc approval dept, or know the name of the dept I should ask for when calling the general customer service number?
