P and C reported, Spring Training is underway!!!!!!!!!!!

I was just looking up the Tiger's Rotation, we signed Brad Penny...I hope he is a Kenny Rogers and not a Dontrelle Willis... [edit: it was a Willis....Doug Fister was our Kenny Rogers]

But, the average age of our starting rotation is 26...how crazy is that...

could be worse, you could be some dude as SNY who played the Family Guy clip mocking the mets after the Mets almost got No-Hit on Friday lol

Ok...what was the big deal about that? it didn't say the "and the season's over" part (or at least I couldn't hear it). If anything it was just lame that the sound was over top of the commentators talking.

with the popularity of family guy, and the fact that the original clip was a jab at the mets, saying their season was over in 1 pitch, you don't see the "big deal" about it?

Your own TV Network (SNY is owned by the Mets) is making fun of its own team?

You listen to Mike & Mike in the AM? Was driving to work on Friday, and heard a pretty interesting stat or two...

The one you'd be interested in, is when the Yanks took the field on Thursday, they were the only team, in history, in any sport, to have 3 teammates who have been playing together for 17 years Faint

My guess is the order in which they hit their 3rd. I know Tex's was early in the day, Kinsler hit his before Cruz, and I guess Kendrick hit his shortly after..

nah i don't listen to Mike & Mike in the morning, i listen to Boomer & Carton in the Morning here in NY

One of your old jockey's Craig Carton does the morning show now on WFAN with Boomer Esiason.

They took over after Imus' Nappy headed hoes comment that got him fired from WFAN/CBS Radio.

Although that stat was said by Fox i believe on Saturday's game, as well as ESPN for Friday's game.

I did hear that, I couldn't believe they didn't say anything during the TV broadcast though...and what is the second closest? Was there another set at 16 or was this the 1st time someone looked it up. They did mention though Posada's streak of starting at C ended since he was the DH.

That actually sounds the most logical...the scoreboard would have automatically put Tex's up there, then added the other Tex'es later.

Well...the Tigers are up to 12 games vs. opponents with >.500 winning % [9 under the belt and a 3 game series vs. Texas this week].

The weekend series is against Oakland at 4-5...they are going to be close...but we have Seattle a week from today, so no matter what the streak will end at the most at 16.

And how about the Yanks losing the series vs. the worst Red Sox team in 60 years, (haha)

Yea, Texas looks like a juggernaut right now and the O's stole one from them. The beginning of the season always has all sorts of teams in flux but I would really like to see some of these teams carry it through the end of the season. I'd love to see the O's and Blue Jays actually compete for the division! Go Birds! haha I'd hop on the Maryland Express and root for them if they made the playoffs.

Now that we are a week in...think it is time for some October Quotable? (division winner predictions).

Its been a long time since Baltimore has had anything worth watching in Camden Yards. I'd like to see the O's at least put a halfway decent season together. Anything above 500 would be sweet for this season.

You guys are truly the Nats of the AL - lots of talent but haven't quite put it all together yet in a difficult division..
