Deal Details

I brought a queen size 8'' thick memory foam Aldi foods yesterday. They were $220 last week but have been marked down to get them out the door. It seems to be a very good quality & very similar to a mattress at Ikea for that sells for $500.
I read several reviews online and all sounded good. The maker is Sensor Pedic also known as Soft-tex. Soft-Tex makes memory foam mattress' for several big name companys. It has a 20 year limited Warranty. I will post the warranty if needed, after I get it scanned.

Thanks,

Sorry I am not able to find any specs nor the density rating. I would say it was firm, but I have never owned a memory foam mattress. The model # on the tag is #80905 The customer support # is 800-366-2324. It is to late to call tonight and ask. When I called today they were very nice and told me it took 24 to 48 hours to completely decompress to the full thickness of 8''.
This is a in store item only.

Several reviews on FW if we are allowed to post? http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/d...#m15706003

I bought one from Aldi in Columbus Ohio for $179 last week. Its a pretty firm, comfortable mattress. It took about 12 hours for it to completely decompress.

I've also not owned a memory foam mattress. What do you put this on? A box spring?

It's not recommended b/c the box spring defeats the purpose of the memory foam. If you do use a box spring for foundation, I would place a sheet of plywood between the 2.

I have a conventional bed so yes I just used my old box springs, they were in great shape. Newer European type (IE - Ikea type) platform beds need nothing except just the board or leaf like spring made in the platform. The tag on the mattress said "this mattress was intended to be used without a foundation".

I'll probably bite on this deal, if I can somehow get it back to my place. I'm 6'4" and have been sleeping on the same twin-size mattress for the past decade and my plans for a Queen Size Bed didn't make the move-out list.

What's the best thing to put underneath it? Box Spring/Board/etc?
