These compare quite well to the TWO acer deals at officemax. about the same price after coupon and/or rebates.
So I guess it is down to brand preference/features? (such as fingerprint reader on hp, or 640GB hdd on acer)
Personally I think it goes like this: 1. $420 Acer (great laptop, nothing excessive, very cheap. my roommate loves his), 2. $530 HP (superlightweight, fast i5 and nice features), 3. $450 HP (pretty run-of-the-mill but still a good price) 4. $520 Acer (Also a very warm deal, great if you want a big HDD)
