You'll probably get an error message when it starts looking for guide content but you should be able to access the recordings for sometime....not sure if it will be 'forever' but at least for a few weeks.

I wonder if it will crap out if I reboot, like getting stuck searching for satellite signal...i've had to reboot it almost everyday because it gets horribly slow, even the flow of the shows is not smooth

 Seems odd that they want to charge to repair or replace their own equipment(assuming you don't own it). If it is only the $19.95 to ship you another one, that is normal charge if you don't have the repair plan. If it is to charge you more than that, that is unacceptable and I would take my call up the chain until you get resolution you want. |
