hi all, i'm the original poster to this topic.

I would like to know if anyone has been able to clone a sero account for their friend without having to do the TOL. i don't want to get the plan and do the TOL. would i be able to call or login to chat and telll them my cousin wants the same plan as me, but i don't want to take responsiblity to his plan, therefore could they put him on the same plan under his own name?

i haven't check back to this thread for ages. it seems like there's a lot of success stories.. hopefully everyone is satisfied with their plan now.
btw, i hope everyone utilize the repping feature on this forum. THANKS

PLEASE STOP PM-ING ME. I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ASSIST ANYONE IN GETTING THIS PLAN.

For those who are reading this thread after 10.13.08, please post your success stories w/ the following

-Date and time of call
-Any type of inconviences w/ the rep

FYI...

The plan code for the sero 500 minute is "FF1077" Tell them you want that plan and it's still active in the computer

The sero 1250 plan code is FF1079

Make sure you say another REP gave you the plan codes and told you that you could do it. This worked for me on the first try. The guy gave me the plan codes and told me if I had any trouble or wanted to call in and get another line to use those codes.

Original plan
Sero F&F 500mins for $30

i just called and successfully added

Newly added
1x $30 fair and flex - 500mins
1x $49.99 Fair and Flex - 1250mins

called this number 1-888-882-4030

basically if your an existing Sero customer with old grandfathered plan and you want another line for a family member now you can successfully do this.

what i did was call that number above. i told him that i would like to add a line to my existing phone service. the rep asked for my number and name, he also wanted to confirm my identity, next he proceeded asking what i would like to do. i told him i was interested in signing up one more line with the same plan i have now. he told me i can add up to 10 numbers on my account and it wouldn't be a problem. i was able to get the old $30 bucks a month plan without compromising existing plan. he also allowed me to order another line on the old $49 plan with 1250 mins. this plan was the old sero plan that no longer exist.

Steps taken:
  • 1-888-882-4030
  • be polite
  • ask if your talking to the Sero Department
  • ask politely if you can add a line to your account
  • rep would confirm your identity then perhaps ask what your trying to do
  • explain that you want to open another line with the same sero plan you have now
  • hopefully everything went well
  • confirm what he did to your account
  • ask for his name and say thanks...
  • your done

NOTES - make sure you takes notes and keep logs just in case Sprint tries to screw you.
  • ask for the reps name and write down the date and time of call.
  • make sure you ask him to repeat the changes
  • double check what other things he's done to the account other then adding a new line

Hope this info is useful. i don't know if it has been posted before.

If you don't believe me, check my attachment picture

here are 2 successful stories that have been buried in the long sero thread

I think i'm reading too much and getting confused. Am i correct in thinking that the best way to get a SERO account is to first get an EPRP account set up and use it for less than a month then begin the process of turning the EPRP into a SERO am I correct?

If you don't already have a SERO account, this thread won't help you (the "for existing Sprint SERO Customers" should be a hint). If you want SERO, you will have to find someone willing to sell a line to you. In that case, you may need to open an EPRP account, have the other person's SERO line tansferred to it, and then cancel the EPRP.

It seems you're missing the part about doing a TOL, that might be what is confusing you. What they're talking about is someone who is buying a SERO account from a SERO account holder. If you're the buyer, you need to set up an EPRP account. Once that's done, the seller will contact Sprint and tell them they want to do a TOL into your name. When that is done, then you can cancel your EPRP account, within the thirty day trial period. Buying a SERO account is the only way for anyone not already on SERO to get a SERO account.

Ok now i think i'm getting itRoll Eyes (Sarcastic) I was under the impression that I can do everything on my own by first starting with the EPRP account. Now i'm back to the drawing board

I have made several attempts over the past few days to add a line (via phone and chat) and was finally successful today. I currently have 3 lines on the SERO FF500 $30 per month plan. I wanted to add a fourth line and upgrade it to SERO-P for an EVO. Several agents have told me that this was simply not possible.

Here is the chat transcript I used today:
01/09/2011 02:56:29PM Session Started with Agent (Dave S)
01/09/2011 02:56:29PM System: "Thank you for contacting Sprint. My name is Dave S."
01/09/2011 02:56:29PM AKAWALLY: "I need to add a line. I was told that I could add additional lines with same plan as my phone"
01/09/2011 02:56:40PM AKAWALLY: "hello, Dave"

I had exactly the same experience. Dave S helped me too but then like five minutes after I left the chat session. My new line was cancelled. Sprint called me says they have to cancel my new line.

I also had Sam V but he couldn't help. His name was under successful stories tho. Record shows he added another line for someone at the end of last year.

First of all, Sprint won't have ANY WP7 phones until at least June (WP7 software doesn't support CMDA yet). Second, given the massive amount of data these things use (Engadget is reporting that they use 1.5GB of data per month when idle), there is no way in heck that Sprint will let them on SERO without calling them "Iconic Devices" and requiring SEROP. Third, I wouldn't be surprised if the first round of WP7 phones are also 4G phones, and require the Premium Data add-on.

This isn't clear yet.

I wouldn't be surprised if they require upgrading to Sero-premium, but at the same time, I wouldn't be surprised if they allowed the TP7 (I think that's the name...it's a WP7 phone) on legacy Sero plans if & when they run out of TP2s.

Edit: It's called the HTC 7 Pro, not TP7. Here a link [htc.com].

Within 5 minutes, I had called back and had this line converted to SERO Premium and was working out the details for my EVO to be shipped. Good luck, keep trying.

Where did you get the information that it won't be until June before WP7 comes to Sprint? I heard it was supposed to be early 2011. Did that get moved back? I found this info online:
Last we heard, the rumor mill was pegging January 2011 for the Verizon and Sprint launch of CDMA devices, a suggestion later strengthened by the appearance of Verizon-branded apps in the Windows Phone Market. An update expected later this month is due to add CDMA chipset support to the OS.

In Balmer's CES keynote this past Wednesday [wpcentral.com], he would only say that WP7 phones were coming to Sprint and Verizon in the "first half of 2011". If it were this month for both carriers, wouldn't he have at least said "first quarter of 2011"? Especially with the rumors of the iPhone coming to Verizon in the next month?

Furthermore, in an interview with the Seattle Times this past Thursday [seattletimes.com], Aaron Woodman, Director of Mobile Communications at Microsoft, said devices would be ready on both networks by June 30.

While we may see a January release for the first CMDA devices, don't forget that only Verizon apps are showing up in the market right now. It looks like it will be a much longer wait for Sprint.
