Thread Details

Looks like you can do the regular checking online but not the business. I don't know what they will require for the business. Most banks will do it with social security number, some require EIN, and some want more. I haven't tried opening one at the branch yet so I don't know.

I'm not posting everything about what types of accounts they have but you can check them out on the site.

Checking account:

https://www.huntington.com/100dol...100dollars

*To activate the checking account for the $100 cash bonus, customer must open a new qualifying consumer checking account between February 22 and February 27, 2011, with $25 or more of new money AND either (i) set up an automatic direct deposit to the new account OR (ii) make 5 or more Debit Card purchases within the first 60 (sixty) days of account opening. Existing Huntington Checking Customers do not qualify. The following consumer checking accounts are excluded from this offer: Student, Estate, Premier and Employee Premier. The $100.00 bonus money will not be considered as part of the initial deposit. All new accounts subject to account opening approval. Bonus will be deposited to the new checking account within 90 (ninety) days of account opening (if “i” or “ii” condition is also met). Bonus is considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT. Offer not available on account conversions or in combination with any other offer. An Early Account Closing Fee will apply to accounts closed within 180 days of opening. Bank reserves the right to limit to one gift incentive per household.

Business checking offer. Page has link to generate coupon(all coupons have the same promo code though).

https://www.huntington.com/200per...200percent

To be eligible for the $200 cash bonus, business customer must open a new Free Business Checking, Business Analyzed Checking, Business Plus Checking or Business Interest Checking account, with a minimum deposit of $500 within sixty (60) days of account opening. The deposit must be money not previously on deposit with Huntington. Bonus amount will be deposited to your new checking account within thirty (30) days after we confirm the minimum deposit was made. Bonus will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT. Cash bonus does not count toward the deposit requirement. All new accounts subject to account opening approval and account conversions are not eligible. Offer not available in combination with any other offer. An Early Account Closing Fee will apply to accounts closed within 180 days of opening. Limit one bonus per business entity per year. Public Fund/Government Banking dollars and Brokers are not eligible for this offer.

The weird thing is it doesn't actually say you have to live in those states. The only thing it says on the application page for the personal checking account regarding that is this:

Quote :
These are individual and joint accounts only and are not available to California residents, trusts or businesses.
The customer service number to call with questions is 888-810-1381 (8 am to 10 pm and I'm assuming eastern time)

Hello.. I was trying to get the 100.00 bonus for opening an account but the site is saying that you have to have a 15 digit code? Did all of you have the code? If you didn't how did you get around it? Thanks
