AMAZING DEAL. Been watching these speakers for a while now and I couldn't pass this up this price drop. Unfortunately any E&A coupons removes the $800 discount so we paid $305 DPA shipped for a $1100 order.

only reviewed at Dell as this combo is a dell-specific product, not sold elsewhere. the individual components are:
qp-9 soundbar : http://www.pinnaclespe qp-2 speakers : http://www.pinnaclespe subsonic subwoofer : http://www.pinnaclespe i needed a basic htpc speaker setup for a small room, so i ordered one as the price seemed very reasonable for what is offered and Pinnacle has an excellent rep. i am used to klipsch and other quality speakers so will see how it works for me. dont have the tv or receiver yet though Last edited by squid729; 02-24-2011 at 09:16 PM.. |

Anyone questioning the quality of Pinnacle products, specifically the MB10000, go take a look at AVS forum for some true home theatre knowledge. Stellar reviews coming from people that spent over $500 for the same system some of us just bought from Dell for $300.

Yes, after going to battle for Pinnacle quality on another deal forum I've got the following info to add for these (this is far from entry level anything):
A review which contains some info on the subsonic sub contained in this package: http://pinnaclespeaker Another review of the sub, which compares it against Velodyne and Sunfire subs: http://www.pinnaclespe Sub specs (from the first review above): Pinnacle SubSonic Setup The SubSonic’s controls are straightforward, so setup requires little more than the usual placement-and-balance exercise. In my room, it delivered smooth response to well above 120 Hz, so it should be easy to integrate with small satellite speakers that demand a high crossover point. How Low Does It Go? Bass limit 25 Hz at 71 dB (maximum 10% distortion) How Big the Bang? Average SPL from 25 to 62 Hz 83 dB Maximum SPL 91 dB at 62 Hz Excerpt from one of the reviews: In the final analysis, the real competitors of the Pinnacle Quantum and SubSonic are not my Paradigms but the likes of the Acoustic Research HC6, Bose AM-5, and Energy Take 5.2. Judged against that competition, the Pinnacles kick butt and kick it real hard. They are not merely, as the old saying goes, "competitive in their category." They sit smack on top of it and no one else comes close. If you want small, wall mountable satellites, as well as excellent tonal balance and highly musical bass from a sub that’s half the size of a seated cat, the Pinnacle Quantum/SubSonic system is precisely what you've been looking for. It’s arguably the best set of mini-satellites and the deepest-voiced baby sub sold today. Memo to the Rothenbergs: If you’ve got a piece of SubSonic B-stock for my collection--maybe a cosmetically damaged piece that you can’t sell--I’d be honored to give it a home. Putting this same setup together from Amazon will cost you $1,783.00 Amazon is selling the QP9 soundbar for $1030. RadioShack for $1099. http://www.amazon.com/Pinnacle-Speakers-QP-9-Driver-Speaker/dp/B... [amazon.com] http://www.radioshack. Amazon has the subsonic sub for $599. Sears has it for $749. http://www.amazon.com/Pinnacle-Speakers-Subsonic-6-5-Inch-Subwoo... [amazon.com] http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_SPM1496558201P?keyword=... We'll just an update. My shipment arrived and it was packaged VERY WELL. The box was over 50lbs. At work now so can't test it out, but first impression is that the speakers are of high quality construction and are very solid (not some flimsy crap). For $300 this seems well worth it.
Again can't comment on sound quality yet but will test it out tonight. |

I was going to order this morning....damn...dead. I mainly wanted the soundbar to help clean up my entertainment area. I know MEIJER sold the QP15 for $500 at one point, but it is back to $2000!
Hopefully this comes back in stock...what are the odds of that happening? I generally don't track Dell sales. |

It may be moot now since the deal is dead but I hookrd it up this morning, couldn't do it last night...was getting too late. All I have to say is WOW!!! The sub is honest to god the size of a basketball. I mean it's really small for a sub. But the bass it produces is amazing. Probably due to the dual 6.5". The soundbar was nice too. It really cleaned up the front area. Looks nice and sleek. I was thumping to RAMBO this morning and the wife came out and said how much this time? Told her $1,200 for the set...she looked a bit annoyed. Then I told her $300 and she was like "that's it?" lolz On a side note, the instructions that came with each speaker really go into details on speaker placement, how to get the best sound, etc. etc. I mean pinnacle is actually trying to help you get the most out of your purchase. Other speakers I bought had a registration card and warrenty card and that's about it. It's like, "we got your money so figure it out yourself now." Sorry to be long winded, but I'm really happy with this purchase for only 3 bills which usually will only get me a sub. |
