Probably the same genius that wrote on the replacement ups 1 per customer .... Common sense would be that you cant combine 2 $/$$ q's but if someone is going to question you about the q in the first place.... they probably dont have common sense to begin with. ........ and all that Happy Dappy Bull

No more than one “48” Rite Aid Valuable coupon, one “49” Rite Aid Manufacturer coupon, and one “5” Manufacturer coupon can be used on a single item. And the GOS has no specific purchase requirement amounts. So I consider the GOS a valuable coupon kinda like an up reward and therefor can be combined with a survey Q. HTH Give someone a fish, feed them for the day!
Teach someone to fish and feed them for...........oh why bother as the next day there they are with 3 more people asking you to give them another free fish!!!!!!! |

Thanks for the quick replies! You guys are right...CountryFan was able to use both in the same transaction (didn't see her post earlier). Perhaps the only requirement then would be having at least 2 items so each RC48 coupon can attach to one of the items. But I think that requirement may even just be for product-specific coupons?

The GOS is kind of like an +UP reaward. Basically it is like a $20 gift card that has to be used all at one time and and expires on April 30, 2011. Rite Aid even advertsied it as a "rebate" back then (i.e. Spend $100 get $20 BACK). After seeing this - I wish I was there. Rare that the local mall gets an actual celebrity to show up as part of a "flash mob".

![]() poohbie, a while back, when I used my 2009 GoS, I had used a $5/$25 and then my GoS. After the cashier scanned the $5/$25 and then the GoS I paid her. Then she read the wording on the $5/$25 and the GoS which said "can not be used with any other offer". She called up the shift supervisor and asked him about it and they both decided that the two couldn't be used together but that they wouldn't rering me. I called cs about it and then emailed Carrie so that I would have an email to show the cashier at the store if it came up again (and it did because we had 2 GoS that year). Here is what the email said: From: cfry@riteaid.com To: xxxxxxx Sent: 11/17/2009 6:34:07 A.M. Pacific Standard Time Subj: RE: Using Rite Aid coupons and the Gift of Savings certificate Linda, Sam works at Customer Support, as I do. You were informed correctly, that both the coupon and Gift Certificate can be used together in the same transaction. Also, you are not limited to just (1) Rite Aid coupon per transaction. This is not the Coupon Policy. I will be including our Coupon Policy in a separate email, for future reference. Carrie Customer Support From: xxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, November 16, 2009 9:43 PM To: cfry@riteaid.com Subject: Using Rite Aid coupons and the Gift of Savings certificate Hi Carrie, A couple of weeks ago, I received my Gift of Savings certificate. First off, I want to let you know how pleased I am that Rite Aid offered the Gift of Savings program. Thank you. Last week, I planned my shopping trip so that I could use my Gift of Savings certificate. Because my total came to $27.93, I also used a Rite Aid coupon for $5 off of $25 or more. I wanted to make sure that my total was still over $20 so that I could use the Gift of Savings certificate. After the cashier scanned all of my items and I saw my total, I gave her my $5 off of $25 or more coupon. Then I gave her my Gift of Savings certificate. I think owed $2.93. After she scanned my Gift of Savings Certificate, she read the fine print. Then she pulled out my $5 off of $25 or more coupon. She said that these both say "can not be combined with any other offer". I need to go check with the assistant manager. When she came back, she said that they couldn't be used together because of the "can not be used with any other offer" wording. She said that since it went through she wouldn't rering it. I felt really bad. I called the customer service # later that day and talk to a customer service rep named Sam. I explained the situation to him. He said that as long as my total stayed at or above $20 for the Gift of Savings certificate, that it was fine to use the $5 off of $25 or more coupon. And as long as my total didn't go below zero after all coupons. I told him that I owed $2.93 after the coupon and the Gift of Savings certificate. He said that because my total didn't go below zero, it was fine to use both together. I want to double check with you to make sure I am doing this correctly. Especially since there will be a Winter Gift of Savings coming up soon. Is it okay to use a $5 off of $20 or $25 or more with the Gift of Savings certificate? Thank you for your help. Sincerely, Linda |

Funny story (at least to me) I was in my local and best'es RA and the manager was looking over the coupon rules and decided to ask me about a particular usage of a RA manufacturer coupon, and she completely trusted and agreed with what I said......................Man if I was evil I could make up my own rules!
