First here are some Slickdeals rules for the Rite Aid threads:
Video Values (VV) are meant only for the person who is watching the video. They are non-transferable as you must put your name on them. You must put your real name, along with address and E-mail when you register.
Only one VV account per person. The coupons are also one time use and will beep and let the cashier know that it has been redeemed if you try to use it more than once.
As the VV coupons are 1 time use, you can't use them more than once. This obviously means you can't use more than 1 per transaction.
Only one $ off coupon per transaction no matter whether it is RC48 or RC49. Unless the VV coupon is for a specific item that you are purchasing you can not use it with a $4/$20.
Can I use +UPs on another card? ------ No, +UPs are only good on the card they were issued for.
Can I use the coupons I get in my wellness account on another card? ------- No.
If people continue to ask these questions - it should be mod alerted so that the posts can be removed as to not clutter up the thread and the poster should be referred to this FAQ .

Welcome to Rite Aid
Rite Aid (http://www.riteaid.com/) is a drugstore chain headquartered in Pennsylvania. It operates more than 4,780 stores in 31 states and prevalent on both the East and West Coasts.
Rite Aid offers several reward programs and partnerships:
SCR stands for Single Check Rebate, Rite Aid’s monthly rewards/rebate program. Just register online and you can immediately start participating. Each month RiteAid publishes a booklet that highlights the monthly deals. This information is also available on their website: https://riteaid.rebateplus.com/
When do I submit my rebate?
Throughout the month as you make purchases, enter your register information on the website, or keep an envelope for mail submissions. At the end of the month, request your rebate by clicking the request rebate button. DO NOT request the rebate if you are planning to make any more rebate purchases that month, as you are only allowed one submission per month. If you forget to request your rebate Rite Aid will auto-request it for you after the last possible date to enter your receipts.
I want to get two of the same item will I get two rebates back?
Check the limitations for that item. Most of the SCR rebates are limited to one item per household.
I submitted my receipt but I don’t see my rebates?
It typically can take 48 hours for a rebate to show up in your Detailed Status after you have submitted it, although sometimes it may be a little faster. If you have waited 48 hours and your status for that receipt still says “The following receipts are waiting for data from the store”, then something could be wrong (e.g. you bought the wrong item, or you bought it during the wrong dates, or you entered in information wrong). Double-check your purchase and the information you entered, if incorrect just re-enter the receipt, if all is correct then call the hotline for assistance: 1-888-213-9920 (8 AM - 7PM EST).
An item is listed as FREE after SCR; Can I use a coupon?
If you have a coupon for an item that is free after rebate (FAR) then definitely use it. You will get the full purchase price back, even if you used a coupon, thereby making a profit. Some items are free only AFTER SCR and a coupon, but the ad will usually be clear about this.
If a rebate requires buying multiple items do you have to buy them all in one purchase (e.g. I need 3 mouthwashes and can only find 1 or 2 at each store)?
No, you may purchase these in separate transactions and enter each receipt separately. The website will combine them and let you know when you've purchased enough to earn the rebate.
Can I combine the SCR with a manufacturer's rebate and get both?
Sometimes you can double/triple dip on a manufacturer's rebate if RA has one as well. You can submit online for the RA rebate and keep your receipt to submit for a manufacturer's rebate. Triple dip comes into play when there is also a coupon out for the product.
Can I buy my items at anytime in the month?
Pay attention to the rebate dates--they are critical. Many of the rebates are valid for just a week and not the entire month. Also, the month doesn't begin and end neatly on the 1st and 30th/31st. Often a new SCR cycle straddles a couple of months.
When it says certain stores in CA and NV, does it mean the rebate is only good there?
No. This is a confusing bit of wording on RA's part. It just means that in these states, and the specified stores, the monthly/weekly deal cycle is a bit different than the rest of the country. Instead of running Sunday-Saturday, those stores run their deals Friday through Thursday and you need to buy during that time frame. Confusing, but it only affects a minority of stores.
How to get your rebate, even when an item is out of stock: Get a raincheck.
When an item is not in stock at your store, then you go and get a raincheck, and they are going to give you the rebate for it, even if you buy it outside the required dates.
When you finally find the item in stock at your store, you show the cashier your raincheck, but before they ring the item up you have to tell your cashier to expressly punch whatever keys they need to punch at their register, so that the word "RAINCHECK" shows on your receipt. This is very important. Was told by a CS rep before that the receipt must say raincheck on it.
They will keep the actual RC (they need it to back up the price adjustment).
You could make a copy of it for your records to be safe, but you don't need it if you receipt says raincheck.
There are two ways to have your account credited for the purchase Call CS or Fax in the receipt.
Call during regular business hours. Inform the rep that you have a raincheck purchase. He/she will ask for the SCR month, the offer number, item purchased, and your receipt info. The rep is able to see your receipt on his/her computer screen, and he/she can credit you for the SCR
Make a copy of your receipt to fax it to RA (make sure the copy is clearly readable). Try make the copy of the receipt in a way that is on a side of the page (not in the center), and in the other side in the blank area, write your name, address, email, SCR month, offer number with a little note, saying that I was at RA during such and such dates and I didn't find the item, and they gave me a raincheck, and now I bought it, and here is my receipt that says raincheck on it, to please be so kind to credit the rebate to my account.
You'll get a confirmation from them in your e-mail saying that your fax was received.
Two to five days after you fax it, you'll see the credit in your account in a separate entry, and it will usually will be sent as a separate check.
What if my cashier doesn't know how to price modify for a raincheck?
If you have a cashier who is unsure how to price modify for a raincheck, this is how it's done: Cashier hits the "price modify" button, then hits reason #5 is for "raincheck."

Great! How do I get started?
First you will need a Rite Aid wellness card.
How do I get a wellness card?
There are 2 ways to secure a wellness card. You can either enroll online and they will mail you a card or you can go to your local RA pick up a card and enroll online.
When will the card be active?
Your card is active immediately. If you enroll on line without a card, you can still get the benefits. Simply tell the cashier that you don't have your card yet and then give him/her the phone number you used when you registered for the card.
What are points?
Points are accrued for every dollar you spend at Rite Aid.
How to Earn Points
Points accrued based on calendar year. Customers earn one (1) point for front-end purchases spent on eligible front-end purchases they make when they scan their card at the register. Customers earn 25 points for every eligible prescription purchased when they scan their card at the register.1
125, 250, and 375 Points: 10% Off, One-Time Shopping Pass
You will receive a one-time, 10% off shopping pass for every 125 points you earn, up to 500. Passes will be delivered to you via email, receipt coupon or postal mail. Simply present the pass at check out to receive 10% off your non-prescription purchase.
500 Points: 10% Off Every Non-Prescription Purchase
You will receive 10% off every eligible non-prescription purchase when you earn 500 points. Your discount will remain active for one year. You will be notified via email when you reach 500 points, achieving this year-long discount reward. Simply show your membership card with every purchase to get 10% off your non-prescription purchases.
1,000 Points: 20% Off Every Non-Prescription Purchase
You will receive 20% off every eligible non-prescription purchase when you earn 1,000 points. Your discount will remain active for one year. You will be notified via email when you reach 1,000 points and achieve this year-long discount. Simply show your membership card with every purchase to get 20% off your non-prescription purchases.
When I use the card, do I get an additional 10% off the price in the flyer?
You will get whatever discount is greater. For example the sale item is priced in the flyer for $1.00 the regular price of the item is $2.00. The sale price is a greater discount then 10%, so the sale price prevails.
Does my wellness discount stack with sale prices?
No you will receive the lowest price, either the sale price OR your % discount price.
Will I receive my discount on a bogo sale since I am paying full price for 1 item?
No, the bogo/bogo50 sales prices are still greater that 10/20% discount. Think of them as getting each item for 50% off or 25% off.
I have 20% and Rite Aid sent me a 10% off shopping pass, can I use them together?
Again, the discounts can not be combined. Occasionaly people reach their 10 or even 20% discount before their 10% shopping pass prints. And sometimes Rite Aid emails 10% passes to random customers. In both cases, they can NOT be stacked with your card discount, this simply will not go though once they are used.
Why haven't I received any coupons in my online wellness account?
How Rite Aid sends out these coupons appears to be completely random and not based on how often you shop or how many points you have. It is simply luck of the draw.
I printed my wellness coupons and it is still available on my wellness dashboard. Does that mean I can print out another one and use it again?
No, the online wellness coupons are coded for one time use. Sometimes they simply stay in your account, even if you have previously used it, until they expire.
How can I find out how many points I have?
You can check online. Go to www.riteaid.com on the left hand side you will see a link that says +wellness online. Click on this link and sign in. After signing in you will be able to see your points. It does take a few days from your last shopping trip for your points to post to your account.
Rite Aid Up+ Rewards FAQ
What are they?
Special offers ran on certain products or combination of products that produces a coupon for X amount of dollars off on your next purchase. (Example: purchase 2 Old Spice body washes and receive a $4 +up reward.)
Where do these print at?
They print at the bottom of your receipt, not out of a cat machine.
Can I earn the same reward twice in one transaction?
Yes. Except when the ad specifically says a limit, you can get multiples in one transaction.
Will all of my +Ups for multiples of the same product print as single +Ups or as one large +Ups (like CVS)?
All of your +Ups will print singularly for each item and will not group for multiples of like products.
Do the rewards roll into each other?
Yes. This means you could use the $4 reward to purchase the body washes and another one would still print. They "roll" into each other
Am I limited to one of the same Up Reward per Wellness card?
Sometimes: Anytime an ad states a limit of 1 or 2 or whatever, that's the limit per Wellness card. It'll track it. If it DOESN'T say a limit then there should be none
Just a word of caution by another poster: Sometimes there are limits that are not stated, but someone here usually finds that out pretty fast so you'll know if there is a limit.
Is there a limit to the number of +Ups that the computer will generate in one transaction?
Yes. You should NOT buy 100 in a transaction! There's a glitch where getting more than 19 UPs in one transaction means that nothing prints at all or some will print but some will not (2/11/11 Info). The hidden limit is a total of 19 +Ups in a single transaction. If you are expecting more than 19, you may get just the first 19, or you may get none at all. (I think this means 19 total UP coupons on all the products you are buying in that one transaction not $19 in UPs – so don’t do transactions that produce more than 19 UPs total.)
Do the rewards attach to an item like at walgreens?
No You may use as many up rewards per transaction as you would like. They do not attach.
What if I accidentally exceed the glitch? Is there anything that can be done? How do I get my Up Rewards?
If you didn't get any +Ups you can return all of the items and have them re-rung in enough separate transactions so that you are under the glitch limit.
If you only didn't get some of the +Ups then only return the items that you didn't get the +UPs for, not everything. It's easier for them to fix that way. And before you bother someone to do the return and rebuy, figure out how many you didn't get and separate the ones you didn't get them for and be prepared.
Another option that may or may not be easier depending on your situation is to just call/chat with RA customer service and they can mail the missing Ups to you.
You can call 1-800-RITEAID or you can use the on-line chat feature and chat with a customer service rep.
How do I chat on-line with a RA customer service rep?
Once you get to Rite-Aid..sign into your wellness account.
If you look to the left, you will see a link called wellness online. Click on that and sign in.
After you sign in, scroll down about 2/3 of the way, on your left hand side, you will see a box with a picture of a guy, this box says 'chat with a pharmacist'. Click on this.
After you click on this, you will see 2 options.
1. Chat with pharmacist.
2. Chat with customer service. (click this one)
Does the Up Reward pay for tax?
No it doesn't, it will beep if the pre-tax subtotal is lower than the +UP reward.
Can I get two separate Up Reward deals in the same transaction?
Yes, both Up Rewards should print on your receipt. Example: one for Old Spice body wash and another for Huggies diapers.
Do coupons keep the Up Rewards from printing?
Can I use two up rewards at the same time when paying?
Yes. Some stores have been trying to limit to one per transaction or visit. Corporate states that you may use as many as you want.
How long are +Ups good for before expiring?
Each Up Reward will have an expiration date on it, Generally 2 weeks from the end of the week the sale is good for (Saturday). So if you shop at the beginning of the sale week then you may be able to get close to 3 weeks. There are special month long promotions that produce Ups that will have longer expiration dates also. But please make sure check the expiration date yourself just to be safe.
Can I use an expired +Up?
No, the expiration is coded into the +Ups barcode so they will not scan.
What if the item is out of stock? How do Rain Checks work?
When Rain Checks are issued for an item that has a +UP Reward Coupon; the customer's Wellness+ Card is to be scanned first, then they would select the Rain Check option on the register. The item sku is then entered and a Rain Check receipt will print for the sale price. It will then be necessary for the associate to 'hand write' and initial the +UP offer and the adjusted final price on the Rain Check, and sign it. Therefore, when purchasing the item that the Rain Check is for, you will automatically be charged what the final price would be, already taking off the +UP Reward amount.

Rite Aid gladly accepts the following coupon types as detailed in the coupon acceptance guidelines listed below:
Manufacturer coupons are found in newspapers, magazines and even affixed to products. The UPC on these coupons begins with a “5.”
Rite Aid Manufacturer Coupons
Rite Aid Manufacturer coupons generally appear in our weekly circular, on our website and are sent to customers via email. These coupons are labeled “manufacturer coupon” and have a UPC that begins with “49.”
Rite Aid Valuable Coupons
Rite Aid coupons are labeled “Valuable Coupon” and have a UPC that begins with “48.”
Internet/Print at Home coupons
Rite Aid will accept internet / print at home coupons up to the equivalent value of $5.00 off. A Rite Aid coupon (with the Rite Aid logo) is NOT considered an internet coupon (even if printed off the internet) and is therefore not subject to the $5.00 maximum.
+UP Reward Coupons
+UP Reward coupons are special coupons earned by a customer in a prior purchase that can be used for any non-prescription purchase with a small number of exclusions that are listed on the +UP coupon. Multiple +UP coupons can be used (subject to the printed exclusions) up to the amount of purchase before sales tax.
Buy One, Get One Free
Rite Aid accepts Buy One, Get One Free coupons, however only one coupon can be used for each pair of items purchased. A customer can use one “cents off” coupon in conjunction with the item they are purchasing on a Buy One Get One Free promotion (or with a Buy One Get One Free coupon), although the value of the cents off coupon cannot exceed the selling price of the item.
Buy One Get One Free coupons cannot be used in conjunction with a Buy One Get One Free promotion.
Total Purchase Coupons
Rite Aid may feature total purchase coupons which discount the total purchase amount based upon meeting specific requirements. For example, $5 off a $25 purchase price threshold coupon.
These coupons are accepted under the following conditions:
The coupon is valid and in date; only one total purchase coupon per transaction.
Total purchase equals or exceeds $25 before tax (before any coupons are applied).
Coupons for individual items can also be used including another “48” coupon that is tied to an item in the transaction.
Provided the total of items purchased is equal to or greater than the purchase requirement, other coupons can be used in conjunction with the total purchase coupon.
Coupons must be valid and in date; Coupons cannot be exchanged for cash.
Register will validate coupon through scanning or keyed entry of the coupon UPC number.
In the event that any item’s selling price is less than the value of the coupon, Rite Aid will accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item. Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is allowed.
When making a return for a product that had a coupon attached, Rite Aid cannot refund cash for the value of the coupon and cannot return the coupon that was used.
Rite Aid reserves the right to not accept any coupon where the validity or the coupon cannot be established.
More than one coupon can be used on the purchase of a single item under the following conditions:
All coupons match the item being purchased.
The total of the coupons is equal to or less than the selling price of the item before sales tax.
No more than one “48” Rite Aid Valuable coupon, one “49” Rite Aid Manufacturer coupon, and one “5” Manufacturer coupon can be used on a single item. Rite Aid may accept up to 4 identical coupons for the same number of qualifying items as long as there is sufficient stock to satisfy other customers within the store manager’s sole discretion.

that's just dumb. why doesn't SD implement "moderated threads" where messages simply have to go thru a mod approval, rather than penalize the dozens of posters who not only use the thread in good faith but have spent hours contributing information to it by taking down an ENTIRE THREAD rather than reject an inappropriate message(s)?
What makes anyone think a new thread (which reg036 is kind enough to put together) won't eventually fall victim to the same abuses?
The staff of SD has to do what's best for the majority of users and stop operating the site with blinders on, creating tons of work and forever lost information for it's most diligent contributors.
Let's deal with facts, instead of personal opinions.
1. Slick Deals is a user driven website.
2. Users are the one's who bring information/deals to the forum.
3. Slick Deals has laid out what the rules are in any particular forum.
4. We are adults. It is our responsibility to read the rules.
5. If a particular rule is not understood is our responsibility to seek out clarification.
6. As an adult user of Slick Deals (assuming we have read and understood the rules) if we see a post that goes against the rule...we have several choices.
We could debate the person,thus ourselves contributing to the clutter and 'abuse'.
Send the person to the wiki to read the rules,(teach him/her to fish).
Send a PM to the person (letting him/her know about the rules/wiki, again teaching them to fish).
Finally we can mod alert, so that the offending post is removed.
7. In order for the village to survive and thrive, as elders we can show the way.
8. Moderators are an addition to Slick Deals, they are not Slick Deals. They are here to decide the final say so in the event that we the users cannot come together and agree, or if a rule is ambiguous, or if we can't find the correct answer to a particular situation.

I went to RA this morning. Kid told me he scanned my card (he didn't), we scan all 14 .74c nail polish and pay with $12 in +ups and cash for tax....Well, no +ups print and so after himming and hawing, the manager comes over. First he is pissed at the 'glitch' giving me the +ups on the clearanced polish - what ev's not your decision dude. Second he refuses to return me the value of the +ups used to pay.
Now I wasn't asking for a cash refund, I simply wanted him to return each of the nail polishes and in the same transaction CHARGE me for the same nail polishes after SCANNING my wellness card making the total then become $0.00 - He wouldn't do that - he in some Fugged up way decided to return me only what I paid in cash and then proceeded to figure out how to divide the $1.68 into the 14 nail polishes plus the tax to all come out to be $0.
After f...o...r...e...v...e...r and a day I walked out with my MM Nail polish and +ups. BUT what is the actual policy on returns like that. Had I actually wanted to just return them. +ups are my RA money, in the least I should be given RA merch credit for the full value of the item - regardless of how I paid. Didn't TRU just have a civil suit having something to do with this?

I did a return/rebuy in which I had paid UPs and the SM just held onto the "cash" he would have given me and I paid the difference. (Cashier forgot to scan a product.) I *think* they are treated like cash and can be given back on a RA gc. HTH
Actually, I have my own issue. I was filling out my online surveys and did 3 on one computer and did 2 on another. When I put in the code for the second one on the second computer it went straight to the coupon screen. The coupon has a different exp date than any of the others I did today and has a different barcode number. Is it okay/right to use? Also, I didn't actually input any info for the survey. I just want to make sure that it is good.
Does anyone know what the surveys that print on the end of the receipt are based on? I haven't gotten a single one since they started letting you submit online for $3/15's. Maybe not every store issues them? It's kind of frustrating
