This isn't the best thumb drive in the world, BUT there aren't many that come close to being waterproof, and on this one the rubber casing is silicone, which is a lot more resistant to change than most of them.

I've had a lot of rubber-cased thumb drives, and if you wear them next to the skin (around my neck, in my case) the caps slowly, gradually get looser and looser until they fall off... like they absorb something. Silicone holds up much better.

I've had mine for years, paid a LOT more for it back then, and it's been reliable... but to be honest, it's a warranty replacement, the first one died in a week or so.

I don't know how electronics manufacturers have managed to convince the public that it's unreasonable to expect any electronic device to be water resistant and reasonably sturdy, but it sure works out well... for them.

Why don't you get a drive like the pico and keep it on your keychain? It's actually smaller than most of your keys , plus no cap to worry about.
