Help me find a giant stuffed animal toy for my niece!

Hey guys,

I have recently become an uncle and want to get my baby niece a giant stuffed animal (bear or dog...or what have you). I can't seem to find any reasonably priced ones. Around 6 years ago I bought a giant bear about 5 feet tall from Toys R Us for $25 for my girlfriend at the time...I can't seem to find anything similar now.

I guess my price range ideally is up to around $50. I'd consider more if it's really worthwhile though.

Coming from a parent - please don't. Everyone defaults to stuffed animals when they don't know what else to buy and all they do is collect dust & become breeding grounds for mites. I can't tell you how many of those dang things I've given/thrown away over the years. Some charitable organizations won't even take them anymore.

If you don't know what to buy, get a target or babys R us gift card - they'll be spending a crazy amount on diapers & other misc. crap, so those are always welcome.

Or, if you want to get her some kind of keepsake, go for a little piece of jewelry or something small like that. Of course, just my opinion - congrats on becoming an uncle!

i would agree too with the other ladies...noone really wants these, plus they are almost impossible if not completely impossible to wash. ewwww

plus most of these stuffed animals aren't for children under 3 years of age either.
