OP, welcome. Before you post, take the time to do a search of recent deals in order to avoid reposting.. That's probably rule #1. Read the stickies the moderators have graciously posted for us. They're full of rules, recommendations and advice.
I started a thread regarding this drive on 2/7, but it was about the PM to MacConnection at $102 that I think exwhyzee is referring to in the post above. Finally, Amazon caught on and reduced their price to $99.54. At that time I added Amazon to my Wiki on 2/21. Two separate threads were then started about the Staples/Amazon PM posted on 2/21 and 2/27 by other posters. So that deal has been alive and well for awhile. |

Yesterday, there was a 1TB WD Essential for $60 + tax (with coupon at Small Business) posted here (though it may have been only USB 2.0)

The drive already has $60 off at Amazon which brings it down to $99.99. Now If you do what I did get the price match with staple which is already approve to match it, and then combine it with the $25 off coupon that will bring the drive to $79.99 including the the tax and the shipping. The coupons you can find it on the web ejunkie, ebay etc. |

For what it's worth - I went ahead and tried this.
I found the drive at Staples for $119.99 with an already applied coupon in my cart for $20 off. Then I applied the $25 off $75 coupon at purchase, and chatted online with a rep who price matched Amazon ($99) for me. My total at time of checkout was $79.30 and Staples is crediting me back $21.20 for the price match. Soooooo... Out the door I'm getting the drive for $58.10 -- couldn't beat that anywhere I looked. Thank you OP! |

Can you help
Hello,Where did you get the $25 off $75 coupon? How are you getting the Staples $21.20 credit? Is this Staples price match policy. Thanks for your help.

Therefore, Staples took their $119.99 price, and price matched the Amazon price of $99, and credited me back $21.20 which is the difference plus tax. I chose the "contact us" link on their website, and chose to chat with a rep. That person asked me for 1) the item # at Staples. com and 2) the link to the product on Amazon.com, and 3) my shipping address. Once she confirmed she could price match, I asked about applying the coupon and was given the go ahead. (I don't believe you have to ask, it just applies when you enter it at checkout). My checkout total was around $79 and then they are crediting me back the $21.20 in 3-5 days. I took a screenshot of that chat conversation to back me up if I don't see it. HTH - let me know if I'm unclear... |
